‘Sometimes, all you need for a quick walk is comfort, and this outdoor Oodie offered just that, whilst keeping me dry in the process’
While the warmer weather has finally arrived, British summers and bank holidays are famously unpredictable. It’s the perfect reminder that while the season calls for picnics in the park, it’s also a smart time to stock up on cosy essentials for those inevitable chilly spells.
There’s not far to look, because The Oodie’s latest sale is making that simple. The popular loungewear brand has just launched a huge clearance event, cutting the price of its outdoor jackets by 73%.
Previously priced at £109, these ultra-comfy jackets are now £29 each, a saving of £80. The offer is available from now until 2am on May 27/

For those yet to discover it, the outdoor Oodie takes the brand’s viral oversized fleece hoodie and transforms it into a practical, all-weather jacket. It features the same snuggly fleece lining on the inside that has become iconic for instant warmth.
Alternatively, check out this Green Label Women’s Appin Gilet from Hunter for £85. The insulated gilet features a quilted design and practical pockets to keep you warm on chillier days. Frasers is also having a huge sale and there’s half price off this Barbour Zola Quilted Jacket, now £85 down from £169.
Available in a selection of colours and styles while stocks last, it’s an ideal layering piece for any wardrobe. Plus, it also boasts a water-repellent nylon outer layer to fend off sudden showers, ideal with another bank holiday downpour expected.
The outdoor Oodie’s have become a go-to favourite for anyone who loves the outdoors or staying snug in unpredictable weather. Fans have praised the jacket for keeping them ‘completely dry’, even when caught out in unexpected rain, making it a reliable option for everything from the morning dog walks, school runs and evening strolls.
Alongside its cosy feel and waterproof finish, each outdoor jacket generously sized hood, ribbed cuffs and roomy side pockets for storing essentials. In reviews for the Camel/Black Zip Through Outdoor Jacket shoppers praised the comfort and stylish finish of the jacket.
Our colleague at Liverpool Echo tried the Outdoor Oodie out for herself, and has written all about exactly why she has fallen in love with the product. She said: “I slipped into this Oodie, I couldn’t believe how unbelievably soft it was inside. It was warm, but not absolutely boiling, and basically felt like I was wearing a giant duvet.
“Sometimes, all you need for a quick walk is comfort, and this outdoor Oodie offered just that, whilst keeping me dry in the process. I was a little unsure that the Oodie might look a bit ridiculous in public, but despite it being big, it just looked like an oversized coat.
“If you want to be really outlandish, you could wear the coat with the fleece side on show, but I didn’t feel quite confident to wear the greyhound zip through print in public just yet! The hood was really roomy, and the pockets were ideal for snacks and all my belongings.
“I’d definitely recommend checking out the outdoor Oodie if you’re a dog walker like me. It was so soft and comfortable, and great to just throw on.”
It is worth noting, some customers found the jackets had creases that made them less easy to wear. One comment said: “The creases make it unwearable; it needs a steam iron.”
But another happier shopper said: “I got this coat on a whim, and honestly, best decision ever! It’s so warm, and because I got the oodie size, I don’t feel tight or restricted. It’s so warm, I feel so comfortable in it, and its quality is amazing!”
