Parents say £20 five-piece Home Bargains luggage set is ‘perfect for their kids’

Mums and dads say the bundle comes with everything a kid needs while going on holiday

Kids wanting a little independence this summer could pack their own suitcases to take on holiday, whether that’s abroad or here in the UK. Although buying suitcases and luggage often costs a small fortune, Home Bargains is selling a child-friendly solution that’s also affordable.

The retailer’s £19.99 Crickt 5-Piece Set is available in stores only and includes a carry-on suitcase and a black neck pillow for comfort when travelling. There’s also a matching backpack and zip-up pouch (that could be ideal for keeping their toothbrush and some toiletries safe).

A lunch bag in the same style as the case and backpack completes the set. Parents can save a bit of money on airport food and snacks by packing their own, which is 100% allowed, as reported by the Express, if they only take eligible foods with them.

Priced at £19.99, parents are snapping up the set. The five-piece bundle has been deemed “perfect for kids”, especially with the six weeks school holidays fast approaching, and families may soon be jetting off abroad.

On Facebook, the deal was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group. There are a few different designs on offer – including neon camo, pink rainbows and blue sharks.

In the comment section, one person said: “Need to get a pink one. How good for our little travels!” Another added: “They must be back!” A third tagged a friend and wrote: “These will be perfect for the kids on holiday!”

Someone else posted: “How handy for the airport this year! My little one will love this.” A fifth person asked: “Can you order online?” Someone responded that they don’t think so – suggesting it must be an in-store only offer.

If shoppers have no luck in Home Bargains, similar sets are available elsewhere. One such set is the COSTWAY Kids 5-Piece Luggage Set, which includes a suitcase, backpack, neck pillow, lunch bag, and name tag (£49.95, Amazon). Shoppers can also grab the same set in a pink style from Debenhams (also £49.95).

Smaller sets can be bought from other retailers like The Range. On its website, the store is selling a 4-Piece Kids Journey Suitcase Set. It’s available in three styles such as a blue mermaid, black penguin (both £39.95) and pink unicorn (£44.95).

Home Bargains has no shortage of summer essentials, though. Recently, the discount superstore had a major deal on paddling pools during the latest UK heatwave.

It slashed the price of a ‘huge’ kids paddling pool worth £75 to £25. The huge Bestway Fantastic Aquarium Play Centre comes complete with a built-in slide, colourful inflatable sea creature toys, and a palm tree that, when connected to a garden hose, gently sprays kids with a cooling shower during playtime.
