Patsy Kensit hit out at the ‘chauvinistic world’ after asking people to stop asking her about her famous ex-husband, Liam Gallagher.
The 56-year-old actress, who recently begged fans to stop asking her about her relationship with the Oasis singer, aired her frustrations over women being defined by the relationships they were in. She said in a new interview: “It’s only frustrating because we live in a very chauvinistic world. I understand why people want to ask [about exes].”
“I met Jane Asher once. She’s a very accomplished actress and what did I ask about? Her relationship with Paul McCartney when she was young. I was an idiot! You know, people think you’re made of Teflon,” she explained to Good Housekeeping as she featured in the April cover of the magazine.
It comes after the star was inundated with questions about her ex, Liam after he and Noel Gallagher announced their reunion in the summer of last year. Fans were over the moon as the iconic duo announced a huge tour, which had fans scrambling to purchase tickets to see them in their first Oasis performances since 2009.

Patsy was married to Wonderwall singer Liam from 1997 until 2000 and they welcomed a son named Lennon together in September 1999. While fans have been thrilled about the news, it seemed like Patsy was getting ticked off with people constantly asking her about the live music plans.
In a social media post shared last year, the EastEnders actress wrote on social media: “I will say no more than this I am really happy for Liam and Noel. I’m sure the tour is going to be thrilling and I send nothing but love and light to them both… No more questions it was 25 years ago.”
In November, Patsy confessed she “believes in love”, but after a string of failed relationships, she said she was ready to embrace singlehood and took a break from dating for a while. “I wouldn’t want a relationship, I am not interested. I do believe in love,” she told Hello! magazine. “But for me it’s not something I need, I have been on my own a long time and I like my own company. Now, it’s just adjusting my life to fill the hole that’s in my soul.”
