Juicing lemons can be a rather messy chore in the kitchen, but there’s a new method to try which could really help you out. So have you ever juiced your lemons like this?
We all love a bit of culinary fun in the kitchen.
Whether it’s cooking up a storm, making our favourite food or assisting our loved ones with a mouth-watering dish, it’s nice to get our hands dirty. But the last thing we all want is getting acid, from lemons in particular, in a cut or in-between our fingernails.
Now over on X, formerly Twitter, people have been losing their minds after learning a hack which involves the citrus fruit. The Today Years Old page, which boasts a million followers, recently shared a video showing a man try the mess-free trick while cooking.
In the caption, it read: “I was today years old when I found out about this, so to get some juice out of the lemon, do you see the toothpick? Just put it in there. Then when you’ve got the hole, you can just squeeze it.” It really is that easy…
Since it was shared, it garnered 1.5million views with 1,200 retweets and 12,000 likes. It so happens, many other people were left mind-blown by the revelation.
One commented: “Tried it with an orange. Works great.” While another added: “Crazy life hack,” as a third X viewer wrote: “I was today years old as well.” And a fourth asked: “How did I not know this? Fabulous.”
A fifth chimed in: “This just made my day. Less mess, less utensils, no seeds, clean hands… LOVE IT!” While someone else joked: “Did he just milk a lemon?” So the next time you decide to juice a lemon, why not give this handy trick a try?
Looking for more life hacks? Just recently, people were ‘today years old’ after finding out about hidden feature on special DIY key tool. A video explains this special key is traditionally used in carpentry for drilling round shapes in wood.
And this hole serves an important function. It allows for a pin to be inserted, effectively transforming the key into a compass for drawing perfect circles. Mind-blowing right?
