Peter Andre has opened up about his advice to daughter Princess as she takes her first big step into the spotlight with her brand-new ITV series, The Princess Diaries
Peter Andre is bursting with pride as his eldest daughter, Princess Andre, takes her first big step into the spotlight with her brand-new ITV series, The Princess Diaries. The 18-year-old, who Peter shares with ex-wife Katie Price, will be fronting the reality-style show that promises an inside look at her life, friendships, and journey into adulthood. While Peter wasn’t on set for much of the filming, he has no doubt his daughter will shine.
In an exclusive chat, The Mysterious Girl singer said: “I’m really proud of Princess and her new show, The Princess Diaries. She’s 18 now, and it’s a great step for her.”
He added: “I wasn’t with her when she filmed most of it, so I don’t know exactly how it went but, knowing her, I’m sure it will be great.” It comes after Kerry Katona revealed her own health struggle after splitting from ex-fiancé.

For the devoted dad, Princess’s happiness is what matters most. “The main thing is she is happy, that’s all that matters. Now she’s 18, I’m surprised she still asks me for advice. Like I tell all the kids, I told her if she’s just being herself and telling her truth, she’ll be absolutely fine – better than fine, she’ll be amazing.”
The father-daughter duo have always shared a close bond, with Peter frequently praising Princess’ kind heart and natural confidence.
In a new clip from the show, which aired at the ITV Reality event, Princess can be seen speaking to her older brother Junior Andre about their childhood, where Princess said: “I think everything that happened with us when we were kids has kind of made us so close.”
Princess sweetly went on to say that they have done ‘everything together’ and they will always be there to support each other.
Speaking at the ITV Reality event, Princess revealed that she’s supported by both parents and revealed that filming her own show was “intense”. She explained: “My parents want the best for me and they want me to do what I want to do so they are supportive but I suppose the advice was be yourself and stay grounded.
“The show just fitted in with my life now because as I’ve got older it’s got way busier and I wanted to show everyone what my life is actually like.
“It was very intense to film. We’ve obviously done shows before with our parents but when you film it on your own you realise how much time you need to invest in it. The hours were long but it was fun and so worth it.”
The Princess Diaries launches on ITV2 and ITVX on Sunday, August 10 at 9pm
