A man sexually assaulted a woman on board a London Underground Tube on the Jubilee line between Southwark and London Bridge, British Transport Police have said
Police want to speak to a topless man dressed in only a pair of shorts in connection with a sexual assault of a woman on the London Underground.
The woman was sexually assaulted by a man while travelling on the Jubilee line at just before 5pm on June 30. The Tube was travelling between Southwark and London Bridge, British Transport Police have said.
The incident happened during rush hour and detectives have now released a CCTV image in the hope someone can identify the person of interest. It comes after reports of a dad’s desperate phone call moments before explosion kills him and his daughters.

The picture shows a middle-aged white man of medium build with short dark hair. He is wearing black and white patterned shorts and appears to have a tattoo on his right arm.
Strikingly, the man is not pictured wearing a shirt. The image has been released in the hope that members of the public recognise the individual and contact police.
In an appeal to the public, British Transport Police said in a statement: “Do you recognise this man? Officers investigating a sexual assault on board a Jubilee line train have today released this image in connection.
“Just before 5pm on 30 June a man sexually assaulted a woman on a train between Southwark and London Bridge Underground station. Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information which could help their investigation.
“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 500 of 30 June. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
The appeal comes after data released by Transport for London revealed more than 800 reports of sexual assault on the London Underground were made in 2024, MyLondon reports. This was an increase of 56 assaults when compared to the previous year, with 745 occurring between April 2022 and April 2023.
