An influencer with millions of followers on social media has mysteriously vanished just hours after posting a cryptic final video.
Marian Izaguirre was last seen at around 6pm on Monday, September 1 in the city of Uruapan, located west of Mexico City, Mexico. Authorities have been left puzzled by her disappearance and a missing persons notice was issued the following day.
According to police, there are “fears for her safety”. It’s said that Marian “may be the victim of a crime” and anyone who knows her whereabouts is asked to urgently contact police.
After she was last seen in Uruapan, the Michoacan State Attorney General’s Office issued an ‘Alba Alert’ for the 23-year-old content creator. They said she was last seen in a “red Kia Rio” in Uruapan and her current whereabouts are unknown.
The bulletin described what she was wearing and stated that she does not have any known tattoos, as reported by NeedToKnow. According to the post Marian was last seen in light denim pants, black blouse, beige jacket and beige boots.
The content creator was wearing long heart-shaped earrings and also has a mole and a scar on her right shoulder. Marian has 3.9million TikTok followers and 320,000 Insta fans.
Marian’s last post on social media was on Sunday, August 31 and she hasn’t been active since. In the clip, which was posted on Instagram, she appeared wearing clown makeup while lip-syncing to the song ‘Why Are You Leaving?’.
Fans filled her comments section with concerned messages. One local said: “We’ll find you.” Danny shared: “Hope she returns home safe and sound.”
Ari added: “I sincerely hope they find her soon, she was a very good person, she was always very nice to everyone.” A fourth said: “I hope you’re feeling well, and you turn up soon.”
The influencer, full name Flor Marian Izaguirre Pineda, primarily shares content on fashion and lifestyle topics. She also launched a pop career under the name Flor Izaguirre with her song ‘Boom Boom’, released on Spotify in July 2023.
The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
