Shoppers have shared their thoughts on the ‘loose and flowing’ boho style that is quickly becoming a trend this summer
A newly-released Primark top has been praised by many shoppers on social media who say it could easily go with many different outfits. The high street fashion brand is well known for selling clothes and accessories at affordable prices and keeping up to the latest trends.
TikTok user and personal stylist Lisa (@lisa.talbot) spotted the top in her local Primark store. While shopping, she clocked the item hung up on one of the displays, which caused her to “stop in [her] tracks” and begin filming the bargain. She said: “It is the most beautiful fabric and the detailing is absolutely stunning. It is really pretty and very gentle.”
The fashion expert showed off the matching skirt, which was made of a similar material and had the same flowing look with intricately stitched floral patterns on the base. Lisa claimed this would be “such a gorgeous outfit for the summer.”
The full set is available online at Primark’s website. The top costs £25, and the matching skirt is also £25, but sold separately.
Primark bosses claim that the top gives off “summertime chic” vibes with its “perfectly pretty V-neck crop” and “colourful embroidery” that stands out against the crisp white fabric. Thanks to its cotton and linen blend, the top should feel ‘light and breezy’ in the summer.
However, not all the viewers agreed. Some felt that it “looked like a tablecloth,” and one joked: “My nan had one of those across her kitchen table!”
But, that didn’t stop fans from heaping praise on the £25 top. One said: “Love it so much. Boho embroidery is everywhere this season!” Someone else wrote: “It’s really so pretty and soft to the touch!” Another added: “I’d absolutely love this with some jeans”.
Lisa replied: “Will look super with shorts too for the summer!” The stylist also suggested: “Will suit a lady who loves boho, imagine at Glastonbury!”
A fifth person posted: “Cute with a white bodysuit under the top!” Primark has quickly become a treasure trove of bargain summer finds, with fans refusing to gatekeep their affordable fashion finds.
Recently, shoppers spotted some £10 sandals that could pass as a £30 Zara pair. Also, for workout days, there was a light and “flattering” sports jacket people might easily mistake for lululemon.
Primark shoppers might be able to get certain items using the click and collect service rolling out across the UK. A handful of branches already have the option on hundreds of items.
