The store’s new homeware range has seriously impressed shoppers, but some have pointed out a potential problem with items
Primark’s homeware range is always popular with shoppers who love the sweet designs and affordable prices — and the retailer’s latest range is no different. Fans have heaped praise on Primark’s spring-inspired homeware, with some even offering comparisons to Anthropologie.
Yet, some of the new products have caught attention for the wrong reasons. Shoppers have noticed what appears to be a design flaw with some of Primark’s new mugs: they’re very cute to look at but might not be so pretty when you try to drink from them.
Eagle-eyed customers noticed the potential problem on TikTok after fans showcased the new range. In one such video, @Mrandmrlane shared that they had “found the cutest mugs in Primark”.
The couple proceeded to showcase the colourful designs. While they looked great, not everyone was convinced about how easy they’d be to drink out of.
“Cute, but not the most practical to drink out of,” someone replied. The video featured triangular cake-shaped mugs and a toast-shaped mug with sloped edges.
Fortunately, there were also plenty of mugs with a more traditional shape, including a sweet hedgehog-shaped mug. In another video, @Mels_family_life praised the “new aesthetically pleasing mugs in Primark.”
In the video, the shopper showcased a mug shaped like wellies and a rainbow mug, along with more classic styles. The TikToker’s caption reads: “I can’t cope with the cuteness, if they are practical?… that’s a problem for another day.”
Other Primark homeware items that have delighted shoppers include a strawberry print ceramic fruit basket ornament. As well as an multicoloured ramen bowl with chopsticks, and a pink egg holder.
Shopper @Louisee_martinn showcased the items in a TikTok haul, writing: “Primark or Anthropologie?” Elsewhere, a fan reacting to a viral video highlighting Primark’s colourful new range wrote: “Would not have thought this was Primark!”
Primark did not immediately respond when approached for comment.
