The Primark shoes are very similar in design to the much more expensive version – for a fraction of the cost
Primark is stocking a pair of shoes that bear a striking resemblance to a pricier alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer’s Eyelet Ballerina Pointed Flats looks similar to a style by brand Mint Velvet, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £16, while the designer version is priced at £109 online.
The flats are very similar, with a ballerina, slingback design and pointed toe. They also both have a silver-tone hardware and two buckle closures across the top.
However, there are some differences between the two. While the Mint Velvet shoes feature an adjustable slingback and are made with real leather, the Primark version are elasticated at the back and 100% synthetic.
The Primark shoes are described as “a pair of pointed ballet flats featuring dual eyelet buckle detail.” They are available in sizes three to eight.
The Mint Velvet description reads: “In a versatile style that will serve you all year, this pair of pumps by Mint Velvet is made from pure leather. Sitting on a flat heel, they feature a pointed toe, an adjustable slingback and silver-toned buckle details.”
The Primark shoes retail for £16, while the Mint Velvet Leather Buckled Pointed Pumps come in at £109. This means shoppers could save around £93 by opting for the bargain version.
Customers can grab the Primark shoes, which also come in pale pink, in stores now. You can check availability at your nearest store here.
