Primark shoppers think they’ve found the ‘perfect’ dress that’s ‘stunning for summer’ and ‘looks expensive’
Primark is selling a £23 “Bridgerton” dress that’s “stunning for summer.” Shoppers fell in love with the Sleeveless Corset Mini Dress when it went viral on social media, with fans suggesting the dress looks much more expensive than it is.
The floral version of the mini dress, which is also available in pink or white, calls to mind the Bridgerton Netflix series, with its corset-style bodice and elegant print. Blogger @mariajoynson loved the look when she showcased the dress in a viral TikTok.
Maria captioned her try-on video: “It’s giving Bridgerton mini.” A viewer commented: “Girrrl it’s giving expensive!” Maria replied: “It’s giving House of CB,” referencing a British luxury womenswear brand.
Elsewhere, blogger @corleighjade1 praised the dress in a similar TikTok video, this time comparing the style to Oh Polly, another popular brand. In her caption, Corleigh wrote: “Primark what in the oh Polly is this?!?!” In her video, she added: “Primark what is this?? Girlies run to Primark for the perfect dress.”
Viewers were quick to agree with Corleigh’s comments. Someone said: “That dress is perfect.” Another fan wrote: “Ohhh this is stunning for summer.” A different viewer replied: “Love that. So pretty.” A commenter agreed: “I love this!!!” Another added: “Gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, someone wrote: “Super cute but reeeeealy too short for me (and I usually love short dress but this one unfortunaly too much.” Replying to the disappointed shopper, a viewer said: “There is a full length version that is also gorgeous!”
Sharing advice, they added: “I got the long green and I’m going to take up the straps as they are a little long. I’d say you could always get one taken up to tea length.”
As seen on Primark’s website, the retailer also offers a £32 Sleeveless Corset Midi Dress, which features a similar corset design but a longer length due to the midi silhouette. Shoppers can choose between a green dress and a floral dress.
