The foods little Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis love to eat have been revealed by their parents Princess Kate and Prince William over the years

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are part of one of the most high-profile families in the world.

But like most kids their age, their favourite meals are far more modest and simple. From home-cooked pizza to mac and cheese, George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Louis, like to tuck into everyday dinners after busy classes at school in Berkshire. George particularly likes pasta, Charlotte is partial to a curry while Louis enjoys his vegetables, Prince and Princess of Wales have revealed in interviews over the years. Since starting their family with George’s arrival in July 2013, Kate and William have always been candid about their children with sweet remarks in talks to the press and key figures at engagements.

In February 2019, for instance, Princess Kate, 42, visited a school in Enfield, north London, and spoke to Ivy Learning Trust’s chief executive Matthew Kleiner-Mann. He said: “She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day. One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff.”

And it is George who especially enjoys pasta and pizza, it is believed. When she visited St. Luke’s Community Centre, near Knotty Ash, Liverpool, Kate revealed how George and his sister like making pizza. She said: “I’ve done that with George and Charlotte — making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy.”

Although Charlotte is said to like Italian food just as much as her brother, Kate revealed her daughter also enjoys curry. When Charlotte’s parents visited Prince Shah Karim Al Hussaini, Aga Khan IV, before their tour of Pakistan in 2019, Kate chatted about how she loves to cook curry at home. She explained that she tones down the spice for their children Prince George and Prince Louis, before adding: “Charlotte is pretty good with heat”. Kate also said, that in the same year, Charlotte enjoys olives as a snack.

While Louis likes pizza and curry too, the youngest of the siblings is also keen on beetroot and other vegetables. Kate appeared on a Mary Berry TV show ahead of Christmas 2019, on which the future queen said: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”

Prince William and Prince Harry also enjoyed eating surprisingly normal childhood meals including household classics, their family’s former chef said. Darren McGrady, personal cook to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana and Princes William and Harry for 15 years, has since shared an incredible insight into the young Princes’ palettes – and they are surprisingly ordinary.
