Prince Harry is said to be ‘determined to repair his relationship with his father, King Charles,’ after his brief 24-hour visit to the UK amid the monarch’s cancer news
Prince Harry spent just over 24 hours in the UK after rushing back to his home country following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, with him now having headed back to the States to be with his family.
Leaving Meghan Markle behind in their California home with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Duke of Sussex dashed across the Atlantic to be at his father’s side following the upsetting news. Sitting down for a half an hour chat with the King, the Duke of Sussex is now said to be “determined” to repair his strained relationship with his father.
According to reports, Prince Harry is determined to make amends with his father, and has “reconciliation” plans to get things back on track. “It looks like Harry may be learning his lesson … he really wants this reconciliation plan,” a palace source has recently revealed.

According to Page Six, another insider added: “I think he would be happy to be home [in England], albeit for a minute.” Harry took a commercial flight from Los Angeles International Airport on Monday after a personal phone call from King Charles sharing his cancer diagnosis. Harry arrived at London Heathrow and stepped off a British Airways flight.
After touching down in London, Harry went straight to Clarence House to see his dad. He was photographed arriving at his father’s residence at about 3.15 in the afternoon with a police escort.
Just 30 minutes later, at quarter to four in the afternoon, the King and Queen were seen waving to crowds as they left Clarence House, signifying that the meeting between father and son was over and didn’t last long.
Despite the royals having a wealth of properties and residences in the capital city, Harry opted to stay in a London hotel instead. He did the same thing when he was in London for the Well Child Awards back in September.
And, while back in the UK, Harry had no plans to meet with his brother Prince William. A source told The Mirror there was “nothing in the diary” for them to meet, with William reportedly focusing completely on Princess Kate’s surgery recovery at the moment.
