Amazon has slashed £80 off the PlayStation 5 Slim console for Black Friday, as well as a raft of controllers and games
Gamers can bag a big saving on a PlayStation 5 in Amazon’s latest Black Friday tech deal. The PS5 Slim Console is currently available for £399.99, saving £80 from the usual £479.99 price tag.
This is the cheapest it’s ever been, according to Amazon price tracker camelcamelcamel. The deal is also available at Very, while Argos and Currys offer it for £399.99 and £400 respectively.
Amazon has also reduced the PS5 Slim Digital edition to £309, down from £389.99. There’s more savings to snap up on a raft of controllers and games, including the DualSense Midnight Black Wireless Controller for £39.99, EA Sports FC 25 for £41.99 and The Last Of Us Part II for £29.99.

Sony launched the Slim version of the PS5 in November 2023, three years after the release of its larger counterpart. As the name suggests, the Slim is a more compact version of the standard PS5, coming in 24 per cent lighter and 30 per cent smaller.
It also boasts 1TB of storage compared to the previous model’s 825GB and a second USB-C port, along with 4K graphics and HDR technology. It also comes with Sony’s DualSense wireless controller that offers haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionality.
Amazon’s Black Friday deal follows the launch of Sony’s new PS5 Pro, which is available for £659 from EE and £689 from Amazon. It is said to feature the ‘most impressive visuals’ ever possible on a PlayStation, according to Sony, with advanced ray tracing, super sharp image clarity for a 4K TV and support for 8K gaming.
It also boasts high frame rate gameplay up to 120Hz and a whopping 2TB of storage. Elsewhere, gamers can now play their PS5 games on-the-go with the PlayStation Portal – the handheld device that gives access to your PS5 games over WiFi – from PlayStation direct and Game for £199.99.
