Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha has been one of the stars of the Champions League this season, shining at the heart of Luis Enrique’s side on their way to the semi-finals and a showdown with Arsenal
PSG midfielder Vitinha insists he still wants to come back to the Premier League even after his nightmare spell at Wolves.
Portugal star Vitinha, 25, has lit up the Champions League this season with his performances and it is hard to believe he had an underwhelming season-long loan at Molineux. Vitinha was given just five starts in the Premier League, Wolves did not take an option to sign him and now he has become one of the most sought after players in Europe.
It must be making Wolves regret their decision but the pint-sized midfielder still says English football and the year in the Midlands was a valuable learning experience.
Vitinha said: “I think I did not see it as a positive experience at the time because I was young and when you are young I could not see it as a positive but it was incredible. It was positive and frustrating.
“I did not get a lot of playing time but I was able to develop not only on the pitch but also off the pitch. English football brought a lot to me and helped me play to the level I am playing now and if I had the opportunity to do it again I would.”

Vitinha was sensational against Liverpool earlier in the competition and helped knock out Aston Villa in the last round. But PSG lost at Arsenal way back in October and Vitinha insists the semi final with the Gunners will be very difficult to predict.
Vitinha said: “I don’t think there are any favourites tomorrow. We’re playing away, so it might have a slightly different impact on the crowd, but with the return to Paris, I don’t think there are any favourites.
“Arsenal are still a good team compared to October. They have a very good team, that’s their main characteristic. Offensively, defensively, they do everything together, a bit like us. It will be a good match tomorrow.
“It’s definitely a different match at this stage of the competition. We’ll do everything we can to get a different result.
“We’re not going to change everything about how we play, but of course we’ll do different things to win tomorrow.”
