Rape charges against influencer Andrew Tate dropped; claims he’s ‘the most’ mistreated man

Andrew Tate has been accused of rape and sexual and physical assaults by three women in their late twenties and early thirties – but the CPS said today that the evidence did not meet the threshold to bring criminal charges

Andrew Tate, the disgraced influencer, has had his rape charges dropped in the UK, with him grumbling about his “mistreatment”.

Three women, in their late twenties and early thirties, have accused Tate of rape and sexual and physical assaults – including holding guns to their heads and strangulations with belts. However, the CPS announced today that the evidence did not meet the threshold to bring criminal charges, and they would be dropped – though the civil case continues. This news comes as a girl is ‘raped’ in a UK seaside town’s children’s play area.

Responding to the news, Tate posted on X: “Romania? No case UK? No case USA? No case 4 months in jail, 3 years locked in my house. “Endless media slander. 25million dollars stolen from me. Lawfare? – I’m one of the most mistreated men in history beside president Trump himself.”, reports the Express. The news emerges as ITV This Morning fans slam presenter as they call for axe after immigration debate.

Regarding Tate’s case, a spokesperson for the CPS said: “We undertook a further review of a case file in relation to allegations of assault and rape between 2013 and 2015.

“Following careful consideration of the evidence provided by Hertfordshire constabulary, we concluded that our legal test for prosecution was not met, and that no further action should be taken.

“We have informed all parties of our decision and offered to meet with the complainants to explain our reasoning in more detail.”

Tate’s lawyer welcomes decision

Andrew Ford, Tate’s UK solicitor, welcomed the decision.

He said: “Despite much external pressure the evidence speaks for itself in this case and the CPS have rightly confirmed the evidence is inadequate to provide any realistic prospect of conviction.

“The reason the CPS made this decision will become obvious when the evidence is played out during the civil proceedings.

“We are glad that this is yet another example of a potential criminal case against Andrew Tate falling by the wayside.”

Civil case set to proceed in 2026

The women launched civil proceedings against Tate at the High Court after the CPS initially decided against prosecution in 2019.

The civil action against Tate, initiated by three women, remains active and is scheduled to commence in June 2026.

Tate refutes the claims, with his legal team stating in his written defence that the allegations are fabricated and that all intimate encounters were consensual.

Brothers faced string of charges earlier this year

Tate and his sibling Tristan were subsequently criminally charged with rape and a series of other offences against four women in the UK back in May of this year.

Andrew Tate was accused of ten criminal charges in total.

Women made serious allegations against Tate

These encompassed rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking and controlling prostitution for gain against three women.

One of the women alleges Tate threatened to murder her and another states he made clear he would kill anyone who spoke to her.

A third alleges Tate convinced her he had actually murdered other people.
