Brooklyn Beckham has decided to give up his London life amid an escalating feud with his parents David and Victoria – and has bought a £10.5million mansion in Los Angeles
Brooklyn Beckham has decided to up sticks to Los Angeles with wife Nicola Peltz is because the “city always felt like home to him,” insiders say.
Sources close to the 26-year-old chef insist the move has “nothing to do with family dynamics,” despite the public feud with Sir David and Victoria Beckham. Instead, they have told reporters Brooklyn is particularly fond of Los Angeles, having reportedly attended school there for many years when his dad, aged 50, was an LA Galaxy player.
But it has also been claimed Brooklyn, born in London, doesn’t entirely own the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home. The Sun reported that socialite Nicola is the one who mainly owns the house, and so sources have expressed concern it could leave Brooklyn “trapped”.
Yet, it is understood Brooklyn more at-home in LA after spending much of his childhood living in the US. A source said: “This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. David and Victoria also own property in the US, this is no different.
“Both Nicola and Brooklyn’s careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him.”

The couple have been hitting headlines over their reported feud with the Beckham family. In recent months, it was noticed how the couple snubbed Victoria’s birthday, David’s milestone 50th birthday celebrations as well as his recent knighthood.
And Brooklyn appeared to fail to publicly acknowledge Father’s Day, despite his parents publicly reaching out. David, though, told his children: “I will always be there, no matter what” in an emotional Father’s Day Instagram post.
The former Manchester United midfielder kept his composure when a man gatecrashed his meal with his mother to celebrate his knighthood this week.
Pesh Kapashiawala saw Sir David eating at a pie and mash shop in Waltham Abbey, Essex called Tony’s on Monday and he could not avoid grabbing a selfie with the former England football captain. Mr Kapashiawala, of foodbank charity 3Food4U, said: “We spotted him in there and we just thought to see if he would have a word with us. We wanted to congratulate him on his knighthood and see if he would support us with our project.
“One of the people there was his mother Sandra – and it was quite an intimate moment for him and his mother. I felt really bad afterwards thinking I had disturbed his special moment. He is a true gentleman and spent a few moments with us to talk about our charity and his award.”
