The two undertakers started having a fight after they both showed up at a property in Villahermosa, south-east of Mexico City, after a resident was killed by an electric shock while decorating his home
Mexico: Funeral workers brawl in street
Two funeral workers brawled in the street over the corpse of a man who died while decorating his home. The pair, seen wearing formal attire, faced off in the middle of the road. They worked for different funeral homes and arrived on the scene to offer their services, it’s understood. One slim man tried to kung-fu kick his rival, but his leg was easily palmed away.
Bizarrely, a police officer then walked past the brawlers as they fought in front of a group of onlookers. The cop appeared to do nothing to stop them.
The slim man then allegedly pulled out a small knife from his pocket and his rival ran away. He caught up with his competitor and appeared to jab the blade towards his torso. He then walked away from the scene as the heavyset worker complained.

The fight was filmed in Villahermosa located south-east of Mexico City, Mexico, on Monday afternoon. According to reports, the row started after a resident was killed by electric shock while decorating his home.
The two men were brought before the authorities, according to reports. After reaching an agreement on the matter, they were released.
It comes after a hearse carrying a coffin inside was barbarically pelted with bricks while on the way to a funeral in a “random” attack.
The back window of the vehicle was shattered by vandals while on its way to Warriston Crematorium in Edinburgh on March 13.
Multiple stones were thrown at the car during the attack, which continued even after the funeral staff pulled over and got out.
Porteous Family Funeral Directors condemned the incident as “shocking” and “disgraceful” – and said it had impacted not only bereaved relatives but also the staff involved in the service.
It also believed the attack was random and not targeted, as the hearse had been on a diversion, meaning those responsible could not have known it would be there at the time.
Photographs show the rear window of the car left shattered. A spokesperson said: “This shocking act of vandalism to our hearse has been deeply distressing.
“It shows not only a total disregard for our bereaved family but has also had a significant emotional impact on our staff who experienced it.
“Such acts of disrespect towards the deceased and their family, as well as to our staff who were working tirelessly to ensure a dignified farewell, are unacceptable and should be condemned.”
