Sam Thompson has now confirmed that he is dating 25-year-old model Talitha Balinska after being set up by a mutual friend, despite admitting she is not his girlfriend yet
Sam Thompson has opened up about his blossoming relationship with model Talitha Balinska, confirming that the pair are dating, but aren’t yet official.
While on the latest episode of his Staying Relevant podcast alongside best friend Pete Wicks, the Made in Chelsea star turned I’m A Celeb winner admitted that things are going well between him and Talitha, though he’s in no rush to put a label on it.
Pete teased: “What stage are you in currently?” before adding, “So look, you are dating, I think it is clear now. Are we just admitting that you are currently dating?”
Sam couldn’t hide his smile as he confirmed the romance, but admitted there’s “no pressure” between them. He explained: “No mate, there’s not been any chat about that. There’s no pressure, and that is the beauty of it. There’s no pressure, there’s no time frame.
“The worst part about this is, if she sees this, I could get canned next week.” Pete then referenced Sam’s breakup with Zara McDermott, joking: “Oh, we can’t go through another break-up, not this year. At least wait till next year, darling.”
Sam laughed and admitted that he’s simply taking things as they come. He added: “Mate, I don’t know, everything is just super relaxed, you know what it is like with dating.
“We are just enjoying it. Realistically, if I were to ever ask anyone out, I wouldn’t even know how to do it. I would panic. I haven’t asked someone out in years.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Pete jokingly called Sam out for trying to turn one of their recent hangouts into a double date. He quipped: “Sam did invite me on a double date at the weekend.
“It was him and his friend and peep and his respective friend’s peep and just me, so I declined. It was sort of an invite that was thrown out there because he said he was gonna see me and then made it a double date.
“Now, what that says to me is, ‘Come if you want, but it will be weird, and we don’t want you there. We don’t want you there, alright, because we’re going to be lovey-dovey feeding each other at the table and all the rest of it, and it might be weird for you to sit there… I know you’re sad, lonely, and depressed so it might be too much for you’.”
Sam could be heard laughing off Pete’s mock complaints, insisting his version of events was “not true”. The Staying Relevant host is said to have reconnected with Talitha after she was invited to be a surprise guest at his sold-out live show at London’s O2 Arena.
He first met the model in 2023, but he was in a relationship with fellow Love Island star Zara McDermott at the time, and nothing happened between them.
Since their second meet cute at the O2, things appear to have moved quickly, and Sam has already introduced Talitha to his sister Louise Thompson, her fiancé Ryan Libbey, and their young son Leo.
Talitha, 25, comes from a well-known family herself. Her father, Count Kaz Balinski-Jundzill, works in the oil industry and is married to model Sophie Anderton, while her half-sister Ella Balinska is a Hollywood actress who starred alongside Kristen Stewart in Charlie’s Angels (2019).
