Samsung is almost ready to unleash its One UI 7 Android upgrade and here’s how you can try it first.
It’s been a long time coming, but it seems Samsung is finally putting the finishing touches on its biggest software upgrade of the year.
One UI 7, which will replace One UI 6 found on most current devices, features a swathe of bonus features, including advanced AI writing tools, improved ways to snap videos and photos along with the introduction of the Now Bar, which displays useful information such as football scores, timers and directions throughout the day.
One UI 7 – which is based on Android 15 – also gets a whole new look and more ways to cutsomise your device as well as a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets and improved lock screen.
“One UI 7 marks a significant leap forward by integrating leading AI agents and multimodal capabilities into every touch point of the interface, creating an AI platform where every interaction feels natural and intuitive,” Samsung explained.
Until now, One UI 7 has only officially been available on the new Galaxy S25 range of devices.
A beta test version was lauchnced for the Galaxy S24 range back in December and now more phones are being added to the list.
Samsung says that the beta program will be available for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in the U.K. starting from March 6. It will then start rolling out to more devices within the month including Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series and A55.
Beta programs for software allow you to install upcoming software, in this case One UI 7, before its official release. To try it out, simply head to the Samsung Members app if you own one of the phones below to see if you’re able to try it out.
