Five retailers offering hundreds off the Samsung Galaxy S24, including O2, Currys and Carphone Warehouse
It’s been a huge week for Samsung, as it unveiled the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra smartphones. The newest upgrade to the Android market, it offers a flashier design, AI upgrades, and even a partnership with Google – some could say its been overshadowed by the now older 24 range discounts.
The flurry of post-launch discounts on the Galaxy S24 range has caught our eye, as Samsung cuts £100 off the price – as well as the potential £299 price for anyone with an old phone to hand in – UK retailers have cut hundreds off the price. With free wireless earphones up for grabs and £600 savings on O2’s mobile contract, there’s a lot to choose from.
The S24 range left a lot to live up to, and while the new S25 range has a fancy new processor (the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy if you want to get fancy), a slight bump up to 12GB of memory and access to Google’s Gemini AI assistant, there weren’t masses left that we haven’t seen before. Now hundreds of pounds cheaper the Galaxy S24 may be a better option for mobile shoppers, so we’ve picked the best deals going.

Currys has launched a surprise off on the Galaxy S24 – now offering the 256GB model for £599. To put into perspective, the smaller 128GB S24 is selling at Samsung for £699.
Get the cheapest price at Currys – S24 now £599
Currys is beating Samsung at its own upfront price as it offers a mega-cheap offer on the 256GB S24. To compare, this costs £859 at Samsung. However, this price is only available in the standard black colour, as purple, silver/grey, and yellow are all selling for the usual £859 price.
Get the S24 for £299 at Samsung if you trade-in
Samsung’s taking the lead, with its immediate £100 discount as it drops from £799 to £699. We were surprised to still see the S24 range listing on its site – since the flagship S25 devices launched – but that’s only the start.
Anyone with an older phone – including Samsung, Apple, Google and Huawei – can drop the price to £299. Cutting up to £407 off the price with its trade-in deal. Even if you don’t have a dusty old phone lying around at home to hand in, you can still save £100 thanks to its new price.
The Galaxy giant has dropped the price of last year’s S24 by £100. Now £699 instead of the £799 launch price. That’s not all, there’s a nifty trade-in option too so anyone with an old Samsung, Apple, Google and Huawei (to name a few) model can cut as much as £407 off the cheaper rate.
However, this does depend on the age and condition of the trade-in device.

Carphone Warehouse is offering the Galaxy S24 device for £29.99 per month on a 100GB data iD Mobile plan – which comes with a £169 upfront cost. And with this, shoppers will get a free pair of Galaxy Buds3 (usually £159) added to their order for free.
While the retailer is often a popular pick, as shoppers can also choose a SIM-free option and buy mobiles outright, that choice is currently £100 more expensive than Samsung’s own £699 price and doesn’t come with the free earphones either.
O2 cuts 600 of Galaxy S24 plan – if you pick this exact thing
The S24 is available to buy on a join mobile and data plan from £36 per month at the provider – a combined rate for the smartphone and connectivity. The huge £600 saving is split into two parts – the total £240 discount of the device payments (now 597 overall not £837) and specific data plans.
Anyone who picks the 25GB, 30GB Plus, 125GB, 150GB Plus, Unlimited and Unlimited Plus data plans will cut £10 off each month of the 36-month plan. Saving shoppers hundreds, although it is only available until February 5 2025.
Standout Galaxy S25 feature the S24 can’t match
If you’re wondering whether the newer Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra are worth the higher price, instead of last year’s older S24 range then there is one major new upgrade. While we’ve picked out the best S24 deals the handset can’t compete with Samsung’s processor upgrade.
The Galaxy S25 range now comes packed with a much more powerful chipset – the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy – an invisible feature that’ll help boost speeds and performance.
