Finding things to do in the summer holidays can be expensive but a ticket deal from Wowcher is slashing prices on fun in the big smoke. Offering discounted entry to The View from The Shard, visitors can take in the view from one of London’s most iconic observation points at a reduced rate.

Entry tickets are reduced from £32 to £19, or £23 for anyone wanting to include a glass of prosecco. With more than 40% off the usual ticket price, this Wowcher deal is a good way to help make money go further when the kids are off school.

Located in the tallest building in London, The View from The Shard provides access to both the indoor viewing gallery on Level 68 and the open-air Skydeck on Level 72. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, with sights including Tower Bridge, The London Eye and Big Ben.

The offer also includes a digital photo package, allowing guests to take home four souvenir images as memories to keep forever. Staff guides are available on site to provide information about London’s landmarks, and a glass of bubbly or an alcohol-free drink is available with the prosecco upgrade.

Tickets are valid for either peak or off-peak times. Peak tickets can be used any day, including weekends and school holidays, while off-peak tickets are limited to weekdays, excluding school holidays.

For visitors who would rather keep their feet on the ground, Wowcher has a host of other deals on family entertainment. Highlights include an impressive 75% off Harry Potter Walking Tours in Edinburgh, 50% off overnight stay and play at Gulliver’s theme parks from and 40% off John Lawson Circus Tickets.

Take in the views for less with this limited time deal

A popular tourist attraction, over 19,000 people have left reviews on Tripadvisor, many of them praising both the experience and the staff. One visitor said: “Views and champagne were impeccable. George the “prodigy” expert guide was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me plenty of fun London recommendations. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough!”

Another added: “I had the chance to go to The Shard in London on the 69th floor and the 72nd floor with the open air deck by sunny weather. The view was magnificent. I could see the landscape until 40 miles. The guide Zia gave a free explanation with passion on the history of the building and the facts about the skyscraper.”

A third exclaimed: “The views are fantastic, but what made it really special were the stories of the buildings. Ian was a fantastic wealth of knowledge, as was Indra. Ask for them to tell you some interesting stories.”

While most reviews were positive, some visitors were not as impressed. One left a three-star review that said: “The view is amazing but there is no enough space to sit. Almost everyone is standing and after some time, it is getting exhausting.”

With more than 40% off from Wowcher, tickets for The View from The Shard could be perfect for a fun day out with the kids. Another visitor summed it up saying: “The view was incredible and the cocktail were amazing. We talked with Chris the guide at the top who was talking to about a dozen people all at once and answering questions and he was brilliant. Talked to the adults but also in a way that the kids understood everything and made it funny.

To snap up the cut-price tickets from Wowcher, shoppers must:

  • Choose the ticket deal with or without Prosecco here
  • Wait to receive a code via email
  • Redeem the Wowcher code

The process is easy and straightforward, but this deal only runs until September, 30 and bookings must be made by October, 31.
