A bargain hunter decided to take a chance by purchasing a mystery Too Good To Go box from Aldi for just £3.50 – and she was totally flabbergasted when she opened it up
Between expensive bills and the rising cost of food and drink, it is important to save money where we can. As a result of this, Too Good To Go bags have become popular in recent years. The only catch? Customers aren’t told what items they will receive inside the bundles.
It really is a game of chance – and a bargain hunter called Becky decided to take this chance recently. They picked up a £3.30 ‘Magic Bag’ from Aldi via the Too Good To Go app and eagerly looked inside. Luckily for the shopper, there were plenty of exciting products in the bundle.
She asked viewers: “Would you pay £3.30 for all of this? Some of it doesn’t even go out of date for another 15 days.” So what did she get?
Becky and her partner were chuffed to get their hands on five yogurts, a packet of prawns, beef mince, bags of rocket and spinach, sweet and crunchy salad, a chocolate apple, one bag of apples, an immune support yogurt drink and steak pie.
And it’s safe to say people were impressed with the bargains! One wrote: “Definitely great value for money.”
Another said: “That’s a real bargain for that. The mince alone is about £8 now on its own.” Meanwhile, a third added: “I’d be happy with that, and it’s all really good dates.”
Others took the time to share what they received after ordering an Aldi Too Good To Go box in the past.
One revealed: “That’s decent, my partner brought three Too Good To Go bags from Aldi last week and ended up with 120 eggs.”
Another said: “You did good with that one. My Aldi once gave me a tray full of baby mushrooms. Nothing else.”
And a third added: “Amazing box! My Aldi is always just bags and bags of salad.”
The supermarket chain has been offering Too Good To Go bags since 2023 in a commitment to cut food waste.
A spokesperson for Aldi said: “Each Aldi x Too Good to Go Surprise Bag you get could contain anything from fruit & veg, to dairy products, meats and snacks, at a fraction of the retail price.”
In other Too Good To Go news, a woman was recently floored after picking up a £5 Pizza Express surprise bag.
Similarly, a customer couldn’t hide her excitement after spending just £3.99 on a Morrisons mystery bundle.
