Owl’s Nest Luxury Treehouse Escape, Camarthenshire – AirBnB, £175 a night
For a countryside retreat, this treehouse set in amongst the mountains and woodland in Carmarthenshire is a paradise for those who want some peace and quiet in amongst nature – and don’t want to travel too far from home. Set in the heart of west Wales, this treehouse comes equipped with a veranda, a full kitchen, log burner, bathroom, and gorgeous views of the mountains and the valleys.

Another echoed: “What a special place this is. The experience was fantastic and it feels magical when you approach across the bridge with the fairy lights. Wonderful inside. Cosy and warm. The log burner is brilliant for the winter months and I imagine sitting on the decking with a glass of something in the summer, looking out over the valley would be perfect.”
It’s important to note that, as some three star reviews have shared, that the treehouse is near to the host’s accommodation, so keep that in mind if you want a completely secluded stay.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames – £1141pp
If you want a bit of an adventure and want to go further afield, TUI has a deal on a trip to the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames in the Dominican Republic in Uvero Alto, Punta Cana. With 13 bars, nine restaurants, two pools and a big waterpark in its roster, you and the whole family will be spoilt for choice.
Great for the adrenaline junkies in the family, the hotel comes with a pretty well-equipped waterpark with chutes, toboggan slides and a free fall twister as well as a main tower that is 10 metres high. For the little’uns, a splash spark will keep them occupied.
