Shameless Elon Musk shows support for Tommy Robinson after reigniting Farage feud

Elon Musk has reignited his feud with Nigel Farage – and reiterated his support for far-right thug Tommy Robinson.

The tech billionaire branded Mr Farage “weak sauce who will do nothing” as he attacked the Reform UK leader over his migration plans. Musk made the comment as he backed Advance UK, a new hard-right splinter party set up by Reform UK’s former deputy leader Ben Habib and supported by Robinson.

Musk was replying to a post on X/Twitter by far-right activist Robinson, who was released on police bail in connection with an assault earlier this month. Robinson was calling on Rupert Lowe – a former Reform UK MP who was ousted from the party after a separate feud with Mr Farage – to join Advance UK.

Musk, who owns X and Tesla, said: “Advance UK will actually drive change. Farage is weak sauce who will do nothing.” It came after a separate post criticising Mr Farage’s migration plans , where Musk said: “Unfortunately, the reality is that Farage will do almost nothing to protect Britain. That is obvious.”

In January, Musk turned on Mr Farage, saying he didn’t have what it takes to lead Reform UK, and backed Mr Lowe. The unexpected comment from Musk came just hours after a fawning Mr Farage branded him a “hero” and said his support makes his party “look cool”. And it was also not long after Mr Farage met Musk at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

Mr Farage distanced himself from Musk after he leant his support to Robinson, who Mr Farage has made clear he does not want to work with. In response to Musk’s latest attack, a Reform UK source said: “They’re all welcome to each other.”

Mr Lowe, who has set up another separate right-wing party called Restore Britain, was attacking Mr Farage’s migration plans for being “weak” in a separate post.

The Reform UK leader yesterday came under fire from charities and campaigners after setting out his draconian mass deportation plans, which would see women and children locked up.

Separately, Mr Lowe and Mr Farage have been engaging in a vicious and public war of words in recent months. It kicked off after Mr Lowe, the Great Yarmouth MP, accused his boss of acting like a “messiah” and hinted he may walk away at the next election.

Mr Lowe was then suspended by the party and reported to police over alleged threats towards the party’s then chairman Zia Yusuf. Prosecutors later confirmed he would not be facing any criminal charges.

Separately, Mr Habib launched a scathing attack on Reform UK when he left the party – criticising that it should not be “controlled by one man”, Mr Farage. He set up Advance UK earlier this year to “assemble the brightest and the bravest”.
