The Tefal handheld steamer has been reduced as part of Amazon’s Spring Deals Days sale
Amazon has reduced a hugely popular clothes steamer shoppers are praising online. The retailer is currently holding it’s huge Spring Deals Days sale, which has seen discounts across hundreds of products.
Among them is the Tefal Pure Pop Slim Handheld Clothes Steamer, which is now £29.99, down from £49.99. That’s a 40% reduction in price for shoppers who don’t want to spend time ironing.
The steamer is described as “portable but punchy”, and heats up in 15 seconds, pumps out 20g of steam a minute, and features a 70ml water tank. According to Amazon, the product’s “clever reversible pad” has a velvet side for steaming delicates safely, and a lint removal side that’s “great for removing pet hair.”

The steamer can be used vertically or horizontally, so no ironing board is needed. It can be used upright to refresh clothes on the hanger, or items can be laid flat for tough-to-tackle areas, like collars and cuffs.
The product has an overall rating of 4.3 stars online, having racked up rave reviews from impressed shoppers. Among them, one person said: “This handheld clothes steamer is perfect for people with little space for an ironing board and streams/irons clothes just as good as an iron.”
A second wrote: “Game changer. Absolutely brilliant!! I hate ironing so much and this handy little steamer is perfect for when you want to quickly get rid of the creases in your clothes.
“It’s small but heats up instantly and lightweight for easy use especially when travelling. It only takes a few minutes to steam a dress or a few tops. It doesn’t leak and it is great value for money. I highly recommend this product.”
A third impressed shopper added: “It’s just brilliant! I wish I’d bought this product AGES ago! It really does make my life so much easier. I hate ironing (and rarely do it) so I have a wardrobe of wrinkled clothes I don’t wear! This stays in my bedroom and I just whip it out when I have an item I want to wear. It’s really effective, and so quick.
“I bought it to take away with me to a family wedding, and it did my dress and all my family’s shirts, trousers, and shorts. I did have to fill up the reservoir a few times, but that didn’t bother me. I bought another bigger one for clothes at work, but it doesn’t work as well as this one and is much heavier. I would def take this on holiday with me. I’ve just bought two more for my sons who are about to leave for uni.”
Another reviewer said: “Life changing. Brilliant steamer. Found this cheaper than anywhere else so it was brilliant value. Works really quickly and efficiently. Small tank but doesn’t really matter because you shouldn’t need to do more than a couple of things. Heats up really quickly. Reasonable cord length too.”
However, not all shoppers were so impressed with the Tefal steamer. One person said: “It work on light clothing which just needs a bit of ironing. Not at all a good replacement for a proper iron. Formal clothes are hard to iron with this fellow.”
Another wrote: “Absolutely baffled by all of the positive reviews. Totally useless, I’ve tried it on a few shirts and they look exactly the same as they did before I did anything. It does absolutely nothing.”
Alternatively, shoppers could opts for a different brand. Elsewhere, John Lewis has the Philips Steam&Go GC362/86 Clothes Steamer for £49.99, down from £74.99.
