Lidl confirmed the two-bar-per-person rule as the viral Dubai-style chocolate, which previously sold out through the Lidl TikTok shop page, will be available in all stores from Saturday
Lidl is sending chocolate lovers into a frenzy by imposing a strict two-bar limit on an irresistible £4 treat that’s hitting shelves this Saturday. The bargain supermarket chain is bracing for shopping chaos as it limits customers to just two bars each of the viral Dubai-style chocolate, which caused quite the stir when it flew off the virtual shelves of Lidl’s TikTok shop page earlier in April.
Billed as a sell-out sensation, Lidl saw these luxurious bars snapped up at a phenomenal rate – reportedly 72 bars every minute – until they vanished from online stock. Now making its much-anticipated entry into physical stores, the beloved chocolate offering comes with the caveat that buyers can’t stockpile more than a couple of bars each.

Lidl is introducing the rule in hopes of extending the joy the chocolaty goodness brings, ensuring a fairer chance for all chocoholics to try the coveted treat, reports the Manchester Evening News.
But while the restriction aims to spread the chocolate love to everyone wanting to get their hands on it, Lidl still advised eager buyers on TikTok to act swiftly and “be quick”.
Excitement over the launch is already lighting up social media, with Instagram user @glendarochead enthusiastically posting: “Get in my belly!!!!!” The sentiment was echoed on TikTok with @adnerol celebrating: “Wow in store finally!!!!”
However, not all responses were as sweet, with some fans lamenting the stringent quota. TikToker @K shared their heartache: “maximum 2 bars per customer is breaking my heart.”
But to sweeten the deal, Lidl Plus members have the exclusive benefit of snagging this sought-after treat for £3.99, while those without the membership will find it on the shelves for £4.99.
While comparable options are available in other supermarkets, Lidl has confidently declared their deals to be the most cost-effective for the popular chocolate bar.

It comes after Lidl shoppers praised the latest addition to the store’s baked goods section – their gooey chocolate brownies. Those who spotted the treat claimed it was “a steal,” and quickly noted that the “topping probably costs more than the cake”.
Priced at just 89p each, the store’s Easter chocolate brownies are packed with delicious mini eggs, and are available to pick up now during your supermarket shop.
They’re a limited-time special, though, so anyone who wants to get some better should not wait around.
But they won’t be suitable for everyone. The label above the product states that they are made with eggs, milk, soy and wheat – which rules out anyone lactose intolerant or following a gluten-free diet.
Shoppers piled into the comments section to share their thoughts about the decadent Easter treat. One joked: “There’s like £4k worth of mini eggs on those brownies – what a steal!”
