Silverstone food and drink prices as pints get pricier compared to last year’s British Grand Prix

A record crowd at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix will also have to pay record-high prices for beer with bars around the circuit raising their prices compared to 2024

The British Grand Prix is the centre of the sporting world every year and, this weekend, a record number of fans expected to descend upon Silverstone to see it for themselves. F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali told Mirror Sport this week that 500,000 people are expected through the gates over the whole event.

That would be an increase of 20,000 punters compared to last year. But those who are returning face some slight price increases with pints more expensive than they were at the 2024 event.

Heineken is an official sponsor of the sport and so is made available for purchase at most F1 events. Last year, at one refreshment area on the outside of Copse Corner, a pint of the Dutch draught drink cost £7.70, but this year it has gone up to £7.85.

Heineken is not the only fraught beer on offer, with another Dutch option Amstel also available at the slightly cheaper price of £7.50 for a pint. Inch’s cider is also available at the same price, though that does represent a 10p rise compared to the 2024 event.

For those buying in groups, there is an offer that makes it slightly cheaper. Four draught pints bought together will be sold at £28, reducing the price of each individual beverage to £7. And there is also a gluten-free lager (£7 for 330ml) and alcohol-free Heineken (£6 for 330ml) available.

Like last year, the prices at Silverstone remain cheaper than those being charged in SW19 at the Wimbledon tennis championships. Pints of Stella Artois cost a hefty £8.85 at the All England Club this year, which is also a rise on their 2024 charges when they were being sold for £8.50.

Ready-to-drink spirits and mixers are also available for purchase at Silverstone, including Jack Daniel’s whisky and coke in a 330ml can and a selection of other combination in 250ml cans including Smirnoff vodka and coke, Gordon’s gin and tonic and Pimm’s with lemonade. They are all priced at £10 per can.

Soft drinks like Coca-Cola and Fanta were sold at £3.90 per 500ml bottle at the 2024 British Grand Prix. This year, the prices have gone down to £3.50 but this is for a much smaller 330ml can. Cans of Red Bull cost £5, which is a 50p increase on last year.
