D4vd’s representatives said he is ‘fully cooperating’ with authorities after the dismembered body of teenager Celeste Rivas was found in the boot of a car registered to him
D4vd has been “fully cooperating” with authorities after the dismembered body of Celeste Rivas, 15, was found decomposed in the boot of a Tesla registered to the musician. He cancelled the remainder of his American tour while an investigation into the murder of the teen gets underway.
A representative confirmed he was working with law enforcement as they carried out their investigation. “D4vd has been informed about what’s happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities,” a spokesperson for the singer said.
The 20-year-old singer had been set to perform tonight in San Francisco and a second show in Los Angeles on Saturday. It’s believed that he will also not attend an event celebrating his album, Withered, at the Grammy Museum in Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday.

D4vd’s ‘home’ is searched
LAPD searched a home where he has been staying. TMZ reported the house is being rented by D4vd’s manager.
In a statement, the LAPD told The Mirror US: “On September 17, 2025, detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division served a search warrant on the 1300 block of Doheny Place in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analysed by detectives in the coming days.
“This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads. Once additional information is available to share with the public, it will be released by the Media Relations Division. Celeste was found decomposing in the boot of the vehicle, which was registered to the singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. She had been reported missing from Lake Elsinor, California, in April 2024.
The registration plate on the vehicle was registered to Texas, and it was towed from the Hollywood Hills area after it had been abandoned for five days.
Claims from Celeste’s mother
Celeste’s mother had previously claimed she believes the body belongs to her daughter after police described the body, which included a tattoo on her finger reading the word: “Shh….” along with the description of her outfit.
It was revealed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner that the teenager was wearing black leggings, a tube top, jewellery and a metal chain bracelet in the shape of a W.
In claims to TMZ, Celeste’s mother insisted that the teen once had a boyfriend named David.
D4vd’s unreleased song
D4vd, who has around 2 million followers on Instagram, wrote an unreleased song in which the name ‘Celeste’ was mentioned twice.
“Oh, Celeste, the girl with my name tattooed on her chest, smell her on my clothes like cigarettes,” the lyrics read. The Sun reported that in 2023, the song was released on SoundCloud and credited to the musician.
