Sky Mobile has launched a new contract deal on Apple’s iPhone 16e. The network provider is rolling out a 24-month contract on the device for £18 per month, working out at 6p per day based on a 30-day calendar month.

There’s also no upfront cost to pay for the device, meaning shoppers don’t have to part with hundreds all at once. The deal is based on an iPhone 16e with 128GB of storage.

The cheapest plan is currently the 10GB data option, with prices starting at £1 for the first three months and increasing to £14 thereafter. This is ontop of the £18 per month device cost.

Sky recommends its 3GB data plan as a ‘great value’ choice. For £22, consumers can opt for the unlimited data plan.

In terms of specs, the iPhone 16e has a 6.1‑inch Super Retina, a 26-hour battery life, and an additional 11 hours of video playback. When there isn’t a mobile service or Wi-Fi nearby, iPhone 16e can connect users to a satellite.

For customers who prefer buying their phones outright, the official Apple storefront on Amazon has the iPhone 16e (128GB) for £544, down from £599. The larger storage option of 256GB, the price is £632.97.

Elsewhere, it is a big day for Galaxy fans as Samsung releases its new phones—the Z Fold7 and the Z Flip7 for all UK shoppers, including at retailer mobiles.co.uk. However, it is worth noting that the cheaper monthly deals come with hefty upfront costs.

On the iPhone 16e, tech editor Dave Snelling says: “Don’t think that a more budget-friendly price means bargain basement features, as there is plenty to like about the 2025 iPhone 16e. Firstly, it finally ditches the bezels found on the original SE and gets an all-screen finish instead. That means the end of the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, with the 16e getting Face ID technology instead.

“This lets users unlock the bigger 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR screen and make payments just by staring at the front-facing camera. It’s made from tough stuff and should survive years stuffed in pockets thanks to Apple’s Ceramic Shield technology and a waterproof design.”

Consumers new to Sky Mobile can find reviews and ratings of its service via Trustpilot. One person said: “I was with EE and the prices kept increasing. I switched to Sky and although the O2 signal is not the best.

“The SIM only plan is £4.50 a month. I have moved the household over to SKY so we can share the data we have banked.”

Another user reported issues with Sky Mobile when it was time to upgrade, writing: “Placed my order but failed the credit check stage and they could not tell me why. Went elsewhere and got the phone I wanted at the contract I wanted with no delay. Shame because I had liked Sky Mobile up until that point.”

An additional Sky Mobile user concluded: “Called up to cancel a SIM as the contract had come to an end. Spoke with a really, really nice guy named Jack. He is the epitome of customer service! Went above and beyond.”
