One of the many benefits of working from home is being able to enjoy some much needed sunshine whilst still being at your laptop. Working outdoors is a great way to make the most of the summer sun, but a patio umbrella is a must to help protect you from sunburn and give some extra shade so you can still actually see your screen.

This large Living and Home 3m Solar Powered LED Patio Umbrella is perfect for adding a little extra shade to your garden, but it also doubles up as extra outdoor lighting, allowing you to stay outdoors long after the sun has gone down. Usually priced at £395.27 at Debenhams, it’s currently been slashed by a huge 73%, taking the price down to £108 and saving you almost £300.

The 3m Solar Powered LED Patio Umbrella is the perfect size for giving you plenty of protection from the sun whilst still being suitable for smaller outdoor spaces, with a three metre wide coverage. The patio umbrella gives off holiday vibes from the comfort of your back garden, with a sophisticated dark grey colour that pairs well with every garden design.

If you’d like more colour choice, The Range’s Outdoor Lighted Parasol Garden Cantilever Umbrella comes in dark grey, light grey and beige and is £65.99, however it doesn’t come with a base, which you’ll need to purchase separately. Elsewhere, Amazon’s Neo 3M Waterproof Freestanding LED Light Parasol is also available in cream and grey for £119.99. Both also feature solar LED lighting strips inside.

However Debenhams’ Solar Powered LED Patio Umbrella easy to put up and down, with a handy crank lift that lets you open and close it without using all your strength to push it up and down. You can also manually tilt the umbrella angle, so you can make sure you’re always in the shade without having to drag it around your garden.

However, it’s not just sun protection it offers you – the built in LED strip lights give you some extra lighting for your garden, meaning you can stay relaxing on your sun lounger or enjoy an outdoor dinner party even when the sun goes down. The lights are solar powered, so you don’t need to worry about electricity or plugs, and will give you an instant atmospheric glow.

The Solar Powered LED Patio Umbrella does require some assembly, however, so this is worth bearing in mind when you purchase it, especially if you live alone and don’t have an extra pair of hands. Wayfair currently also has a similar design for slightly cheaper, with the Maust 3m Traditional Parasol with LED Light now down from £117.99 to £104.99, which is also available in light grey, dark grey and beige for more colour choices.
