With the cooler weather around the corner, shoppers are jumping at the chance to snap up a Stanley food flask for half price. Typically £42.99, Amazon have dropped a limited-time deal, taking the price down to £20.49.

The Amazon offer beats the price of the Stanley website and Lakeland, where it is full price. The flask comes in several colours, with the discount varying depending on the shade chosen. Shoppers can choose from hues including Hammertone Lake, Ash and Rose Quartz.

With a capacity of 400ml, the flask keeps food hot or cold for 7 hours, allowing the user to take it to work, school and on-the-go. Those that are after a larger size might be interested in the Quechua 800ml food storage container from Decathlon, available for £14.99.

Another option is the Chilly’s food pot, which comes in sizes 500ml or 300ml. It’s priced at £28 for the 500ml and comes in five trendy colours such as pink, turquoise and silver.

Hailed by shoppers as ‘probably the best food flask on the planet’, it’s dishwasher safe as well as being made from durable stainless steel. It also boasts a leak-resistant lid with a pressure-release valve for easy opening and has a wide mouth for filling, pouring and cleaning.

The soup flask comes in several colours.

The Stanley flask is only on sale for a limited time at Amazon, with customers so pleased with the purchase some are buying multiple while on offer. One person shared ‘we now have 5 what more do you need to know.’

Another loyal Stanley fan wrote: “I have a Stanley 2 litre flask already and I wanted same quality in a food flask. No leaks, food kept hot or cold. This keeps my porridge very hot. Even after 6 hours I’m still blowing the contents.”

And someone else explained: “I bought this for my partner so he could take hot food to work. It keeps food warm really well, and if you heat the food up and put it in at breakfast it is still hot at lunch. It is easy to clean and still looks like new. It holds just under a full tin of soup. It’s really strong and is really nice looking. The lid and opening is nice and big so easy to fill. Definitely recommend this flask.”

Highlighting that it can be used all year round to keep food hot or cold, a five star reviewer left feedback saying: “I was really impressed with the Stanley legendary flask and wanted to add the food jar to my collection. The food jar has a wide opening, for soups, stews, or can be used to keep food cold. Like salads, pastas etc. It feels lightweight, durable and also comes with a spork, that attaches to the side of the jar.”

The Stanley flask comes with a spork attachment which slots onto the side of the item, so shoppers never have to worry about forgetting cutlery. This feature has received mixed reviews – one person said: “The only downside is I don’t like the spoon/fork that comes with it, so I don’t use it, I prefer a deeper spoon for soup.”

However, it was a winning point for another person that wrote: “I bought the Stanley Food Jar as a gift, and my husband loves it. It feels really sturdy and the built-in spork is a clever touch. Looks perfect for lunches on the go!”
