A woman has shared a video to TikTok showing how you can get a product that smells just like Lush’s Sticky Dates for a fraction of the price, and it’s available in Superdrug
A beauty enthusiast has discovered a budget-friendly alternative to Lush’s popular Sticky Dates spray, which typically costs £28. Instagram user @vickaboox revealed that Superdrug stocks a near-identical ‘dupe’ for a fraction of the price. “I’m gonna show you how to get it for £2, maybe even cheaper,” she promised, as she headed into her local Superdrug store, which is the only place this dupe product is available.
She made her way to the body spray section and picked up the ‘Sticky Toffee’ scent, claiming it “smells exactly like Sticky Dates but for £1.75”. Currently, Superdrug Members can snap up this spray for half price. The product normally retails at £3.49 for 100ml, which remains significantly cheaper than the Lush equivalent.
The shopper also highlighted that a ‘Pear Crumble’ fragrance is available at the same bargain price.
After removing the lid, Vickaboo remarked that it smelled “very creamy,” adding that she “liked it” and was adding it straight to her basket as well.
For those who prefer coordinating their shower gel with their body spray, there’s positive news, a Sticky Toffee shower gel is also available.
Unfortunately, Vickaboo expressed disappointment after discovering her local branch didn’t have it in stock.
Members can purchase this for just 95p, whilst non-members will pay £1.90.
The shower gel’s description states: “Step into the shower and indulge yourself in this sweet scent to help you feel clean and fresh for the day ahead. A perfect way to awaken your senses”.
“I’m going to have one last look near the till,” Vickaboo revealed, as she was determined to grab one of the shower gels at the same time.
Lush’s Sticky Dates is also available as a shower gel, priced at £6.50 for 75g, £8.50 for 125g, £18 for 295g, and £27 for 580g.
The Superdrug 95p alternative contains 250ml in the bottle.
Fortunately,Vickaboo managed to find one near the till. It was the final one available, and she opened it to test the fragrance, commenting: “It really smells like syrup,” which matches the scent of the Lush version.
“Sticky Dates for 99p, insane,” she exclaimed, as she headed to the checkout to purchase them.
Naturally, it’s essential to research before purchasing dupe products, as whilst the fragrances may be comparable, the ingredients might be of higher quality in the pricier option. It’s crucial you determine which product suits you and your requirements best.
