The US popstar’s rise to fame and all of the drama that followed will be explored in the brand new docuseries

Channel 4 is set to peel back the layers of Taylor Swift’s rise to fame in a brand new docuseries.

The broadcaster will air Taylor: The Star Who Changed The World in just a few days, and it’s expected to be a treat for Swifites.

Ahead of its debut, Channel 4’s commissioning editor Shaminder Nahal explained why Swift was a fitting subject for the two-part documentary.

Nahal said: “Her journey has been nothing short of epic, and we’re keen for this series reflect all the joy and artistry, the heartbreaks and high stakes, of her stunning career, while also showing viewers sides of Taylor Swift that they might not know or expect.”

So when can viewers tune in and what is the two-part special about? Below, we delve into everything you need to know.

When does the Taylor Swift documentary come out?

Swifties set your alarms as Taylor: The Star Who Changed The World is set to premiere on Channel 4 this Tuesday, September 30th at 9:15pm.

Both episodes will drop on Tuesday and they will also be available to stream on Channel 4’s on-demand service.

What is the Taylor Swift documentary about?

With input from band members, industry professionals and devoted fans, the two-part series looks back on Swift’s 20-year career.

Among the interviewees is online content creator Niamh Adkins, who shares how impactful the popstar has been in her life.

Other self-proclaimed Swifties, including one who first met the singer in 2003, open up about their decades-long devotion to the US celebrity.

The series also features personal stories from Swift’s former bandmate Emily Poe Stumler, who served as her fiddle player between 2006 and 2007.

Elsewhere, viewers can expect to learn the truth about Swift’s infamous feuds over the years – from her clashes with Kanye West to the recent battle with record executive Scooter Braun.

According to the official synopsis: “Taylor will dig deep across the musician’s 20-year career, a period that has seen her transcend the realm of pop star to become a cultural icon like no other.

“Through interviews with high-profile commentators, industry insiders and fans, the documentary examines the forces that have shaped her trajectory and the devoted community she has inspired.”

It adds: “Rare archive will reveal fresh insights into Taylor and her story as the series charts her journey from ambitious teen with towering dreams to one of the most influential and scrutinised figures of our time.”

Taylor premieres on Channel 4 this Tuesday 30th September at 9:15pm.
