Global megastar Taylor Swift is expected to make an appearance on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show in just a matter of weeks to promote her new album
Taylor Swift will return to an iconic British chat show next month to promote her hotly anticipated album The Life Of A Showgirl. The singer, who got engaged recently, will appear in the next series of The Graham Norton Show.
On 3 October, the same day the album is due for release, Taylor will be a guest on the red sofa at the BBC’s popular chat show. She is set to appear alongside Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy, actresses Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith, as well as About Time star Domnhall Gleeson. Another popular musician, Lewis Capaldi will perform his new single Something In The Heavens too.
This is the first time Taylor has been back to the show since 2022, when she made an appearance to promote her album Midnights. She was also promoting the re-recordings she was making of her previous albums. The star did not own the rights to several of her early records and, though she wanted to buy them back, they were sold to someone else.

As such, she had been re-recording them to her own ‘Taylor’s version’ of the songs. However, her re-recording journey, though financially successful, seems to have ended after Taylor was able to buy back the masters to her original albums earlier this year.
Now, she will appear on the show to promote The Life Of A Showgirl, her latest album. During the Eras Tour, an international tour in which the singer performed hits from throughout her career, Taylor created a collection of new music.
On her fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, she explained: “I would do three shows in a row, [and then] I’d have three days off. I’d fly to Sweden, [then] go back to the tour. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.”
Many of her previous albums have been known and loved for their depiction of heartbreak, such as Red, which featured several songs allegedly about her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, Fearless, which is rumoured to contain break-up tracks aimed at Joe Jonas, and The Tortured Poets Department, which fans believe to contain music about both Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy.
However, Taylor has said The Life Of A Showgirl will be different. “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life. So, that effervescence has come through on this record.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Taylor and Travis also spoke about their relationship. The Cruel Summer singer compared their love story to being in “an 80s John Hughes movie” and added that this was what she’d been wanting for a long time. “This is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.”
A few weeks later, the pair announced their engagement with a post on Instagram. It showed the two surrounded by flowers after Travis proposed. Taylor captioned the picture: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
