The iPhone 17 is set to be released later this year, and tech creator Justine Ezarik reckons she knows what the new phone may look like – and people aren’t impressed
iPhone fans are on the edge of their seats with the buzz around the upcoming iPhone 17 launch, and the rumour mill is churning out some juicy tidbits.
Some tech enthusiasts are thrilled at the prospect of a complete makeover for the new phone, while others are less impressed, vowing to “stick” with their current models due to the leaked designs.
A supposed sneak peek at the iPhone 17 Air, touted as the slimmest iPhone yet has surfaced online, shows a new camera setup. But the authenticity of this leak remains up in the air as anticipation skyrockets about the device’s final look.
The big reveal is set for September, so eager buyers will need to hang tight a bit longer. Meanwhile, tech influencer Justine Ezarik has thrown her hat into the ring with her take on what the iPhone 17 might pack.
“I’ve been seeing some rumours about the iPhone 17 swirling online, and I finally decided to take a deep dive and, wow,” she said in a TikTok video.
Justine predicts possible larger screens and ProMotion technology gracing all new devices, not to mention an “ultra-thin model,” already dubbed the iPhone 17 Air.
Those who love a good selfie might be in for a treat, too, with talks of an “upgraded selfie camera” that could boast a 24-megapixel sensor, doubling the power of the front-facing snapper.
Justine adds: “They’re reportedly gonna have a 24-megapixel sensor, which will pretty much double that front-facing camera”. Discussing potential changes to the iPhone’s appearance, she described it as “funny” because it “looks a lot like the [Google] Pixel” with the camera positioned along the top rather than in a square as current iPhones feature.
Justine expressed her admiration for the Pixel’s design, suggesting that it’s positive for iPhones to undergo a “new look” since they “need” it. She added: “We need something new, and we need something fresh.”
However, not everyone shared her enthusiasm. One person vented: “I’m staying with my iPhone 14.” Meanwhile, another laughed: “I’m still on the 11”.
A third lamented: “I only just got the 16 a few days ago,” accompanied by a crying emoji. And a fourth asked: “I like the current design! Why change?”
