The pair admitted to using ropes to tie their dad up and then taking “petrol from his bike and sprinkled it on him before him setting on fire”
Two teenager sisters have been arrested for burning their own father alive in his sleep after he allegedly raped them both, according to police.
The pair admitted to using ropes to tie their dad up and then taking “petrol from his bike and sprinkled it on him before setting him on fire” while he slept.
Authorities said the dad was doused in petrol on January 1 and later died of his life-threatening injuries on January 7 after suffering severe burns. “The girls said that they decided amongst themselves to find a ‘permanent solution’,” Rizwan Tariq, a senior police official said.
The step-sisters claimed their dad allegedly raped the eldest girl for a year, and had twice attempted to rape the younger girl. The girls reportedly told police:”‘We both planned to kill our father for sexually assaulting us.”
The dad, who was rushed to hospital, died just six days later after the attack. It is claimed one of the girl’s siblings called the man’s sister and accused the man’s two wives in helping the sisters to intoxicate their dad and set him alight.
According to local media, the man is said to have had 10 children from three different wives. The first wife died, while the remaining two and the children lived together in a rented house.
The children’s mothers, who are both married to the man, allegedlly knew of the allegations but did not know they would carry out an attack. One of the wives has been arrested while the second is being questioned by officers.
“We expect to present them before the court in a few days, as soon as we finish the investigation,” Tariq added.
