Police are hunting two men in Plymouth who attempted to grab a teenage girl in a residential street shortly before 7pm last Sunday in what is being treated as an attempted kidnapping
Two men who attempted to wrestle a teenage girl into a car are being hunted by the police.
The terrifying attempt to kidnap the teenager happened on a residential street in Plymouth on the evening of Sunday, March 9, and is now being investigated by Devon and Cornwall Police.
The force said that the female victim was walking along Colebrook Road at 6.55pm when two males in a car attempted to manhandle the girl into their vehicle. Fortunately she managed to escape their clutches and raise the alarm.
The victim was unharmed during what is being treated by police as an attempted abduction and officers from Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information in order to track down the males involved. No further details have been given about the car and there is no description of the suspects.
Devon and Cornwall Police, reported PlymouthLive, said: “Police were called following a report of an attempted kidnap in Plymouth. It was reported that at around 6.55pm on Sunday 9 March a female was walking along Colebrook Road, Plymouth, when two males tried to pull her into a car.
“The attempt was unsuccessful and the victim was able to escape unhurt. Enquiries are ongoing. Anybody with information or relevant footage which may assist investigating officers is asked to call 101 or visit our website quoting 50250059744.”
