WARNING DISTRESSING CONTENT: A group of schoolboys are in court this week, facing allegations that they gang raped, blackmailed and stole from a teacher in a prolonged campaign of abuse
A group of teenagers are standing trial for allegedly gang raping a teacher, before setting her apartment ablaze.
The seven youths, aged between 14 and 17, allegedly carried out their campaign of abuse from May 2024 to January 2025, and blackmailed the 28-year-old with footage of the assaults.
The ordeal allegedly began shortly after the teacher entered into a legal, consensual relationship with a 17-year-old former pupil who had already left the school. After the teenager boasted about this relationship to friends, the group of boys allegedly began showing up at the teacher’s home, claiming they were part of a criminal gang.
The group managed to gain entry into the teacher’s home by threatening to expose the relationship if she didn’t let them in, it’s claimed. At first, the teacher’s home was allegedly used as a place for taking drugs, but soon, the torment took a harrowing turn.

The trial in Vienna, Austria, heard how the gang, from Iraq, Romania and Afghanistan, allegedly sexually assaulted the teacher both individually and in groups, before blackmailing her with recordings, and forcing her to pay for food, taxis, and cigarettes, The Sun reports. One defendant told officers: “I wanted money.”
The group allegedly filmed the assaults and threatened to distribute the footage around her school if their demands were not complied with. At one point, a Polaroid photo showing a positive pregnancy test was allegedly used to keep the woman under control.
Frightened that she would lose her job, the teacher kept the alleged abuse to herself for months on end. As well as enduring sexual assaults, the woman allegedly had money and personal items stolen from her.
In January 2025, three members of the group, two aged 15 and one 14, allegedly broke into her flat and took jewellery, watches, and sunglasses.
The prosecution accused the teenagers of then setting fire to the apartment in a bid to destroy any evidence. Although the defendants have admitted to the break-in, as well as to some thefts and drug-related offences, they have denied deliberately starting the fire, and have also strongly denied charges of sexual violence. Their legal team has argued that these were consensual interactions.
Prosecutors told the court that the group of youths is made up of a larger gang of around 70 to 80 members, who upload footage of their crimes online. The court heard how phone records and other digital evidence allegedly showed there had been repeated visits and a coordinated campaign of intimidation, starting in May 2024.
In September 2024, as the new school year began, the teacher is said to have called in sick as she was unable to face her pupils, as the alleged abuse continues. By November, the abuse had allegedly escalated, with the woman enduring assaults on her terrace as well as filmed incidents used for blackmail.
The trial is scheduled to continue on October 15, with verdicts expected by October 20.
