Christmas lovers were seriously impressed by a new advent calendar that’s up for grabs from The Works
The Works has impressed shoppers who “need” a new £12 advent calendar that’s making a splash on social media. Like other calendars, the 24-day calendar counts down the days until Christmas, but instead of sweets, it’s filled with mini ducks.
Some fans think the unusual advent calendar is ideal for children who dislike chocolate, while others think it would make a great “joke” gift. The Duck Advent Calendar seriously impressed shoppers when it was posted on Facebook by Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK.
The caption said: “New Duck Advent Calendar has arrived at The Works. Includes 23 Mini Coloured Ducks and 1 Festive Duck. It was accompanied by a photo of the colourful advent calendar, which promises to deliver “a quacking 24 day Christmas countdown full of bathtime fun.”
The post received over 1,000 comments as viewers rushed to react to the unusual advent calendar, and many tagged friends, suggesting a shopping trip. On the one hand, there were lots of responses from families who love collecting ducks.
One such reply read: “More ducks for the bathroom.” A second said: “More for willow to throw in your bath.” A third added: “I know a boy that would love this!!!” A fourth fan replied: “I need to get this for Olivia. She’s obsessed with rubber ducks.”
Someone shared: “Need to get this for my 3 year old he’s obsessed with ducks,” and a comment echoed: “We all know someone who likes a duck.”
There were also lots of comments from keen shoppers who wanted to calendar for themselves. A viewer said: “I have to have one lol.” Someone praised: “How cute is this.”
A different viewer said the calendar could be a great alternative to a chocolate version. They wrote: “For Arran, as he doesn’t like chocolate yet.” Someone else suggested they were “tempted” to gift it “as a joke.” Yet more praise read: “Might be a good little Christmas present.”
