This Morning host Alison Hammond has addressed speculation that she’s pregnant in a post on social media in which she referenced Meghan Markle’s delivery room dance video
Presenter Alison Hammond has addressed apparent speculation that she’s pregnant. The This Morning host reacted in a message to fans on social media this afternoon.
Alison, 50, is already a parent to son Aidan Hammond, 20, from a previous relationship. The presenter, who is in a relationship with David Putman, 27, took to Instagram earlier to address the prospect of having another pregnancy.
She wrote in a post: “Lots of Ai stories online about me being pregnant, I can confirm I am not having a baby as I’m not sure my 50 year old womb could take it. However I do think we should all dance like Meghan!!”
Her comment comes after Meghan Markle, 43, shared footage of herself and Prince Harry, 40, dancing together in a delivery room prior to the birth of their daughter Princess Lilibet, now four, in 2021. She posted the video for Lilibet’s birthday earlier this week.
Alison poked fun at the speculation over herself and appeared to impersonate Meghan in a video that accompanied her denial that she’s pregnant. She was seen dancing around in a living room as the song Baby Mama, which featured in Meghan’s video, played over the clip.
The post was quickly met with support, including attracting likes from pal Josie Gibson and former colleague Holly Willoughby. There was reaction in the comments section on the platform, with many people sharing their amusement.
Jenni Falconer wrote: “You are just brilliant.” Alexandra Burke and Dr Punam Krishan were among the celebrities who reacted with laughing emojis. Whilst Amanda Holden shared three heart-eyed emojis alongside a laughing one.
One fan wrote: “Love it.” Another commented: “Just brilliant.” Sharing their thoughts, one follower said: “Hysterical.” Whilst someone said: “You and Meghan dancing together would be the ultimate video. Make it happen Alison.”
Alison shared a link to the post on her Instagram Story too. She used an emoji that read “fake news” over the top of it and clarified in the caption: “I am not pregnant.”
Meghan wrote in the caption of her video just days ago: “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!”
