Sain Lucian TikTok influencer Jolie William died after an attacker broke into the guest house she was staying at with a friend, stabbing both of them multiple times, with the friend still in hospital
A 20-year-old TikTok influencer has been brutally stabbed to death and her friend left in a critical condition aftter a horror knife attack.
Jolie William was staying at a guest house in Saint Lucia with a friend when the pair were attacked after somebody broke into the property, stabbing both victims multiple times. The death TikTok influencer has left her almost 230,000 followers as well as the local community in shock.
Authorities are investigating the horrific attack and are currently trying to establish details about the incident. Jolie’s friend, who has not been identified, is still in hospital in a critical condition. Despite desperate attempts by medical staff, Jolie died of her injuries.
The terrifying attack ook place at around 3.40am on Friday morning in Reduit, Gros Islet, St Lucia. According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, the attacker was known to both Jolie and her friend.
Jolie’s employer, Robert Skeete, who is also known as ‘Chef Robby’ confirmed to police that she had recently ended a relationship. He allegedly stated that the young influencer’s ex-partner was not happy about her decision to end their romance.
Local police are said to be working hard to locate the ex – who has not been named yet – in an attempt to uncover any additional information about the incident. Jolie, from New Village, Castries, is the second employee Robert has lost in the past two weeks. On February 12, anoher woman who worked for him was shot dead.
Following Jolie’s tragic death, messages have poured in on her social media pages as fans mourn her loss and pay tribute. One wrote: “Please tell us they made a mistake, it cannot be you.”
“Rip pretty girl,” said another. A third said: “I’m not ready fro you to leave, girl,” while a fourth said: “Swear this is unbelievable” and another added: “Aw Jolie you have us speechless.”
Former Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Allen Michael Chastanet also posted a tribute to Instagram, writing alongside a picture of Jolie: “I am devastated by the tragic loss of Jolie William, the second young woman tragically taken from her loved ones in the last few weeks. No family should have to endure this pain and no communiy should have to grieve like this.
“We must so more to protect our women, to stand up against violence and to build a society where every woman feels safe and valued. My thoughts are with Jolie’s loved ones and all those mourning this senseless loss. SAint Lucia, we cannot accept this as our reality. We must act.”
