TikTok star and TV presenter Jennifer Nicole Rivas has been found dead aged 21 at her home as her fans pay tributes following the tragedy
A TikTok star and television presenter has been found dead aged just 21. Popular content creator Jennifer Nicole Rivas was found dead at home in Honduras’ capital Tegucigalpa.
It’s claimed the star’s death on Wednesday, October 1, was due to an epileptic seizure. HCH Televisión Digital in the country reported that Rivas had epilepsy, before adding that she was on medication for the condition.
The star’s family confirmed that she had an underlying condition and authorities have stated her death was due to natural causes.
Her death was confirmed on Instagram by Honduran podcast El Showsero TV hosted by Honduran YouTuber Gazù Bbx. They said: “With deep sorrow, from El Showsero TV and the whole team of El Eventazo: Pickle War, we mourn the irreparable loss of our beloved participant Jennifer Rivas, from the Los del Barrio team.
“A person full of energy and enthusiasm who left a mark on every moment shared,” the statement continued on. “Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.”
The statement continued: “Rest in peace, little doll, thanks for making us smile at Los Venados 504.”
Fans shared the sorrow in the comments section of the post. One user wrote: “How sad, may God comfort the pain of her loved ones, and another said: “Rest in peace,” with a sad face emoji.
Another content creator was devastated and wrote: “There are no more videos together, Jenifer!
“Thank you for always believing in me. I will always remember you fondly! We had many goals, dreams, and achievements in mind together, but God is perfect and you had to go. See you in eternity, Jenifer. I will miss you so much!”
Rivas had been a presenter on Honduran channel CHTV as well as being a popular online content creator. She had a following of over 100,000 followers on TikTok, while 16,000 Instagram users followed her.
On her Instagram, she had posted an upload where she was all smiles just a day ago. She said she was “getting ready” for a pickleball session while she posed on the court.
News of her death comes shortly after other TikTok stars’ deaths were mourned. Content creator Luanna Araújo. Araújo, fiancé Korbinian Andreas Dengler and their friend Herbson Nunes Negrão were reportedly killed on her 29th birthday in a three-way highway collision last week.
The three friends were traveling in a car on September 26 when the vehicle collided with two other trucks. The incident took place on a Brazil highway at around 1:20 a.m., according to Brazilian news outlet g1.
