Tina Malone, who appeared on the reality series in 2009, discussed the people she’s worked with in a new podcast and took aim at her former Celebrity Big Brother housemates
Shameless star Tina Malone has risked reigniting a Celebrity Big Brother feud after she called her co-stars ‘w**kers’. The actress, who appeared on the sixth series of the show in 2009, starred alongside Ulrika Jonsson, Michelle Heaton and late rapper Coolio.
In a new podcast, the 62-year-old discussed the people she worked with during her many years in showbiz and said some she’s worked with ‘in reality celeb stuff’ were ‘disgraceful’. Speaking on The Lewis Nicholls Show podcast, she explained: “I’ve worked alongside some people in, not actors to be honest, in reality, stuff I’ve done, celeb stuff I’ve done.

“And I’ve thought you’re a w****** you’re a no-mark, and you are disgraceful.” A no-mark is someone who is ‘unimportant or unsuccessful’. The stars who took part in series six included CBB winner Ulrika as well as Terry Christian, Coolio, Verne Troyer, Ben Adams, Tommy Sheridan, La Toya Jackson, Michelle Heaton, Mutya Buena and Lucy Pinder.
CBB wasn’t the only reality-type series she appeared on as she was also part of Come Dine With Me, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, Splash!, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Celebs on the Farm, Celebrity MasterChef and Pointless Celebrities.
Tina and Coolio clashed multiple times on Big Brother, saying he “crossed the line every day with his schoolboy antics”.
“All the suggestiveness with Mutya, it was all fantasy. Please, he’s old enough to be her dad. I think he thinks he’s got a game plan but it’s just a way of attracting attention,” she said at one point.
Tina, who was second to be booted out the show, also said Ben was a ‘strange one’ who was ‘only attracted to himself’. She also branded Michelle ‘shallow’.
Winner Ulrika had described Tina as being “very direct, frank and forthright about things,” in a diary room rant while Michelle even compared her appearance to Princess Fiona from Shrek when she wore a costume.
During her recent podcast appearance, Tina also opened up about her heartbreak following the death of her husband Paul Chase, who she tragically lost to suicide.
During the conversation, Tina was overcome with emotion as she recalled Paul’s service and the struggles he faced.
In a promo clip, she shared: “My husband fought in Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland. He went from Belize to Cyprus, and he had a wonderful life in the army. But 4.8 veterans take their own lives in the UK every week.”
Speaking on the The Lewis Nicholls Show podcast, she called for more awareness of the issue: “You never hear about it and it needs to change now.
