Actor Tom Cruise has reportedly split from his girlfriend Ana de Armas after just a few months together. The Top Gun star, 63, enjoyed a brief romance with the actress, 37, after first being linked to each other in February as they attempted to keep things lowkey.
They were spotted on a series of dates and went public in the spring. However, reports have now suggested they have called time on their romance after realising they are better off as friends.
It has been claimed that the relationship “ran its course” and “they aren’t dating anymore”. A source explained: “They just realised they weren’t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates.

“The spark had gone between them, but they still love each other’s company, and they’ve both been really adult about it.” They added to The Sun: “She’s already been cast in his next film, so they will continue to work together.”
Tom and Ana finally made their romance official after months of speculation when they stepped out hand in hand in Woodstock, Vermont. They strolled along a quiet street with a small group of friends while holding hands.
The public display of affection came just days after the pair were seen in London. They reportedly travelled together on Tom’s private helicopter and attended one of the Oasis concerts at Wembley Stadium.
Earlier in July, Tom and Ana were also seen on holiday in Menorca, Spain, where they were photographed relaxing together aboard a luxury yacht, and they looked comfortable and close with one another. While neither publicly confirmed a romantic relationship, their regular outings and joint travel plans left many to believe they were more than friends.
The two actors were first linked on Valentine’s Day after being seen dining together in London. Their meeting was initially described as professional, but their continued time together has sparked rumours.
Two months later, Ana and Tom were spotted in the capital once again as they celebrated her birthday. According to a source who spoke to Mail Online, Cruise was “showering Ana with gifts ever since they met.”
They added: “First, it started with her favourite flowers, then books he thought she would want to read because she’s an avid reader. As they got to know each other, the gifts became more personal – jewellery, designer clothes, and more.
“Probably the biggest gift he has given her is the freedom to travel anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.” Ana was previously thought to be dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuba’s president.
Tom was previously linked to Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova. He was also married to actress Nicole Kidman, who recently announced her shock split from husband Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.
After divorcing Tom, Nicole fell for American country singer Keith, with the pair marrying in 2006 and welcoming two daughters together. But last month, it was revealed that the pair were calling time on their marriage.
