Top Tech: Deals writer shares two ways to get free Samsung earbuds in Sky’s rare Easter sale

TV and tech writer Jake Hackney has found a way to bag hundreds of pounds worth of freebies with the latest Samsung deals in Sky Mobile’s Easter sale

Everyone loves a freebie, whether that’s a free sausage roll, a coffee or some free earphones. This month, we’ve spotted not one, but two ways for shoppers to get their hands on some free Samsung gadgets as Sky Mobile kicks off its Easter sale with Samsung tablet and smartphone deals.

The provider has just launched the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Samsung’s budget-friendly version of the Tab S10 range. Sky is offering the device for £15 with no upfront cost, but what makes this deal more enticing is that purchases made by April 23 will come with a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE worth £99.

What’s more, Samsung is running a separate deal until May 13, allowing customers to claim an AI Book Cover Keyboard worth £139. Stacking these deals means customers can bag free tech worth a total of £238.

One thing to consider is that Sky Mobile’s tablet contracts run for 48 months, but members can swap to a new device after 36 months at no extra cost. Keeping the plan running for the entire term comes to a total cost of £720, whereas buying the tablet outright from Samsung or Amazon would set you back £499.

Also, the £15 cost is just for the tablet – Sky’s plans must also be paired with a 12-month data SIM on top of this. These range from £0 for 100MB to £29 for unlimited data, but customers don’t have to keep the SIM running for the same length as the 48-month tablet plan.

For those uninterested in picking up a new tablet, Sky is also giving away some freebies with the Samsung Galaxy S25. Until May 20, S25 shoppers can claim free Galaxy Buds3 Pro and six months of Google One AI Premium worth a combined £332.94, when taking out the £25 S25 plan.

With the Google one subscription, members benefit from 2TB of cloud storage and a host of AI features with Google Gemini Advanced including help with writing and deeper AI integration across Google apps. Like the tablet deal, the smartphone must also be paired with a data SIM, but what’s different is that the S25 contract runs for 36-months, compared to the tablet’s 48.

The Galaxy S25 usually costs £799 from Samsung, while Amazon offers it for a slightly cheaper £797. However, both retailers are offering the same free gifts as Sky, making them the more cost-effective option overall if you can afford the initial outlay.

But those sticking with Sky, members have been singing their praises on Trustpilot, where one five-star review says: “We have been with Sky for eight years and have had no major problems. When we have had a problem, we’ve managed to speak to a helpful member of the team who has resolved our issue quickly and ensured we have been on the cheapest deal.”

Another said: “I ordered a new phone and switched to Sky Mobile. I got a good deal, and porting my old mobile number was easy. I’m really happy with their service.”

A third says: “Absolutely fantastic service from Sky Mobile. Placed the order yesterday, arrived today, again absolutely faultless service from start to finish and by far the most competitive price on the market. At last, a mobile provider who gets it right.”

However, it’s always checking network coverage before making a commitment, as this reviewer said: “I can’t recommend Sky Mobile as they’ve configured their LTE/4G calling service to sound like 2G.”
