The Google Pixel 9 has been given a huge discount in Amazon’s Spring Deal Days sale, but there’s an even better deal available at a rival retailer
It’s been a busy week for Amazon, where the spring sale has seen discounts on countless tech items, but we’ve spotted an even better bargain on a new Google Pixel 9 that may just tempt you away from the retail giant. Earlier this month, Google unveiled its upcoming Pixel 9a, designed to be a budget-friendly successor to the standard Pixel 9.
It will sport a cheaper £499 price tag when it hits the shelves in April, making it £100 less than Apple’s new £599 iPhone 16e. But ahead of its launch, one of our favourite mobile retailers has cut £100 off the Pixel 9 and is giving away a Pixel smartwatch on select contracts.
At Mobiles.co.uk, shoppers can now shave £100 off the Pixel 9’s upfront cost with the discount code PIXEL100. The Currys-owned retailer is offering the handset on a range of contracts including iD Mobile’s 500GB plan, which comes in at £20.99 per month and £59 upfront after applying the voucher.

Those needing a larger data allowance can choose iD Mobile’s unlimited data plan, which is £21.99 per month and £109 upfront with the voucher. To make things even more enticing, Mobiles.co.uk will also throw in a free Google Pixel Watch 3 on select tariffs, such as iD Mobile’s £29.99 unlimited data plan, with £19 upfront.
Usually, taking out a mobile contract works out more expensive over time than buying the handset outright, but in this instance, it actually works out cheaper. In Amazon’s Spring Deal Days sale, there’s currently a £171.04 discount on the Pixel 9, with an unlocked handset reduced to £627.96 – down from £799.
However, taking the iD Mobile £20.99 monthly plan comes in £65.20 cheaper at a total £580.76 over the 24-month contract, including the upfront fee and the inflation-linked price rise in April 2026. iD Mobile is among the many firms that ups its prices every April and has already confirmed that the £20.99 deal will rise to £22.49 from April 1, 2026.
Now, Mobiles.co.uk might not ring bells like its more well-known rivals EE or O2, but it offers more affordable plans compared to EE’s starting price of £46.38 and O2’s of £44.36. Over at Trustpilot, customers have been singing the praises for Mobile.co.uk’s user-friendliness and top-notch service, awarding it a 4.3-star rating based on feedback from more than 16,000 customers.
One satisfied shopper said: “Really easy to set up and switch over. Efficient service and good support emails to help with the process.”
