A heartwarming video shows a mother dog seeking help at the the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic in Turkey, holding her infant in her mouth, demonstrating her determination to get help
Video shows the amazing moment an adult dog rushed to a veterinary clinic cradling a puppy in its mouth as it sought help.
The video shows a mother dog seeking help at the clinic door, holding her infant in her mouth, demonstrating her determination to get help for her little one without delay. Upon arrival at the clinic, the animal ensured that her puppy received prompt and necessary care.
The incident occurred on January 13, as the parent dog urgently made its way to the Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary Clinic in Istanbul Province, Turkey. Thanks to the mother’s efforts, the puppy was able to receive the care it needed and survived. Despite being comatose and suffering from hypothermia upon arrival at the clinic, quick-thinking vets were able to revive the puppy and bring it back to health.
The small puppy, one of a litter of six, was reunited with its surviving brother at the clinic. Both puppies, along with the adult dog, are currently receiving additional care and attention. The quick response of the healthcare staff at the clinic was crucial in saving the puppy’s life. Earlier in the day, animal lovers had brought one surviving puppy to the clinic earlier, unaware there was another. The mother dog later found the last remaining puppy and brought it to the clinic for help.
Veterinarian Baturalp Dogan told how his colleague, Emir, was the first to notice the mother dog’s arrival and promptly opened the door to assist. And upon examination, they discovered that the puppy was still alive, albeit in critical condition. Despite the puppy’s dire state, the veterinarians were able to detect a faint heartbeat and immediately began efforts to revive it.
Dogan expressed gratitude for the mother dog’s persistence in bringing the puppy to the clinic, as it gave them hope and motivation to save the young animal. Dr Oghan explained that the mother dog’s milk was insufficient, so the clinic was supporting her puppies with additional food. The mother dog and her puppies are now being cared for at the clinic, where their health is steadily improving.
Dr Oghan said that the clinic staff were touched by the mother’s determination to save her puppy and that they hope to find a loving home for the family once they fully recover. He added: “Everything is going well so far. The treatment for both the puppy and its sibling will continue for a little longer. During this time, we are not accepting visitors due to their health.
“The mother dog is recovering well. Her story has intrigued so many people, she’s a very intelligent and caring dog. It shows the love that a mother dog has for her puppies.”
