This week, former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Olivia Attwood sparked rumours after sharing a cryptic post some believed was aimed at current campmate, Maura Higgins.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, November 25, Olivia, 32, told fans she had a secret that would “blow your f***ing mind”, while accusing an unnamed person of copying her. This led some followers to suggest Maura, who recently joined the same PR firm as Olivia, was the target of her ire, especially following Maura’s recent revelation about the cheating ex who motivated her to join Love Island – which bore some striking similarities to Olivia’s own reality TV origin story.

Addressing her millions of followers, Olivia raged: “One day I’m going to write a book and some of the stuff I have managed to keep quiet on over the years. It will blow your f***ing mind. You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah blah, but it will NEVER taste the same. That’s all.”

However, sources close to Olivia have now alleged that the heat post was actually about fellow Love Islander Laura Anderson – who she’s been locked in a feud with for six years.

An insider told The Sun: “The idea that this is about Maura Higgins is absolute rubbish. Olivia’s got no issue with Maura at all. The truth is, this is about Laura Anderson, and people have totally got the wrong end of the stick.”

The source proceeded to claim: “Laura recently asked for the same hand tattoos as Olivia, and the guy refused point-blank. She’s even been seeing Olivia’s aesthetic doctor, Dr. Saleena Zimri, travelling down from Scotland just for it. It’s obvious that she’s trying to mimic Olivia’s look and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Olivia feels like this crosses a line.”

It’s understood that this comes after Laura, 34, surprised fans after showing off a new fringe ‘do which some felt bore a striking resemblance to Olivia’s. This feud reportedly dates back to 2018 – when Olivia believed Laura was pinching her style during her season of Love Island. Olivia, who appeared in the 2017 series of the dating show, made her thoughts on the matter clear at the time, with a tweet posted from New Look’s account.

Not holding back with her accusations, Olivia, who was known for her signature half ponytail, tweeted: “Wait, is Laura wearing MY hairdo? Ok, I’m calling fraud prevention @oliviajade_att #LoveIsland.” She continued: “Wait, my head’s gone. Laura’s come in last like me, wearing my exact outfit.”

During an appearance on Capital Breakfast, Olivia jested that she needed “protection”, asserting: “I feel like I need to, like, call for protection! Like, she’s got my hair… No, do you know what, I quite like her. Shock!”

A source previously told The Sun: “Olivia can’t stand Laura. Olivia is fed up with her as she feels like she is copying her and trying to be her. Same hair, same glasses, uses the same glam teams, she thinks she copies her look.

“She was annoyed because at the Specsavers awards, Laura was getting on really well with Amber and the other Love Island girls from Olivia’s year, so she got jealous and refused to have anything else to do with her. Olivia was also furious when Laura used the same photographer that Olivia used to shoot her 2019 calendar.”

Soon after Olivia offered fans a look at her calender, Laura did exactly the same thing – even making sure to tag the same photographer. Unimpressed by this, Olivia responded with a pointed post, writing: “Just because I post something on my insta/story doesn’t mean you have to.”

This comes after separate reports suggest Olivia reportedly believes that Maura is attempting to use the ‘same script’ that she herself used to earn her success – including her motivation for entering Love Island.

Earlier this year, Olivia opened up about how her now-husband Bradley Dack’s infidelity motivated her to enter the Love Island villa. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Olivia said: “I wanted to get back at my ex-bad boyfriend Bradley, and it worked. I turned down series three initially – until I found out Brad was seeing his ex-girlfriend. I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t actually believe this has happened to me again. What am I actually doing?’

“Anyone who has been cheated on knows it’s just the most horrible thing. Brad and I hadn’t met each other’s families at that point, but we were dating. I was deeply shocked.”

In a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity, Maura told fellow campmates that she, too, had entered Love Island to seek revenge after an unfaithful ex broke her heart. Sharing her rage at this alleged infidelity, Maura shared: “I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day.”

A source told the Mail Online: “A lot of people are feeling confused by the story Maura told on Sunday night’s episode of I’m A Celeb and wonder if she’s telling tales for airtime.

“She explained to her campmates that she signed up to Love Island to get revenge on an ex-boyfriend who was unfaithful and how she used his toothbrush to clean the toilet. But she said the same when she split from Curtis Pritchard, alleging to her followers she used his toothbrush to clean the bog following their 2020 breakup.

“Olivia was cast on Love Island, seeking revenge on Bradley Dack, which worked out in the best way possible as now they’re happily married. There’s definitely a feeling Maura is attempting to carve out her career using Olivia’s incredible success as a guide.”
