N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has reportedly found romance with a self-made billionaire who made his fortune from legal marijuana as she enjoys new love life after lengthy celibacy
Tulisa Contostavlos has a new love interest just one year on from declaring herself celibate on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of here! The N-Dubz star has reportedly been on a series of dates with a cannabis kingpin named Maximillian White.
Max, who hails from Nottingham, has been secretly dating the singer and flew her out to Portugal last month to join him on a romantic break. The businessman became a billionaire from the success of his medical marijuana business.
A source said: “Tulisa and Max have been on a few low-key dates and she seems really happy. Max is treating her like a princess and they get on very well.”
The insider continued to The Sun: “They went to Portugal together last month and although she didn’t post any pictures with Max, he could be seen in the background of some of her snaps. Tulisa is a self-made woman and they both have the same drive and work ethic which is something they have bonded over.”
When Tulisa was appearing on I’m A Celeb alongside campmates including Danny Jones, Coleen Rooney, Barry McGuigan and Maura Higgins, she confirmed that she had been celibate for several years and was seeking something deeper.
She shared: “I feel like I’m demisexual. I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone. I need actual depth . . . I’m a slow, slow burner, I’ve been celibate for over three years.”
Following her elimination, Tulisa surprised many by quickly leaving Australia and not participating in the final reunion show. She also deleted all mentions of the show from her social media, later explaining that she felt “overwhelmed” by the attention.
“A lot of bombarding, in all the most positive way but because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily,” the Sight of You singer said in an Instagram video. “I just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill and this is all just feeling a little bit much at the moment.”
Tulisa became a household name thanks to her chart success with N Dubz. She then became a judge on The X Factor in 2011 and 2012 helping to craft hugely successful acts like Little Mix.
Max meanwhile, is a self-made billionaire and has made efforts to have marijuana legalised worldwide, seeing him hailed as the Elon Musk of his industry.
In 2021 he was named on The Times’ Pot Power list, revealing that he was urging the UK Government to legalise the drug.
Max said last year: “You could tax the [profits] and use it for struggling areas. They should legalise it, control it and use the money somewhere where it’s needed more than our pockets, or your dealer’s pocket.”
